After successfully downgrading two O3DSes with Sysupdater I tried to downgrade my New3DS XL. After a few tries it installed the exploit and got to the reboot step. After the system rebooted it (presumably) bricked. I can't seem to enter recovery mode and only the blue LED lights up. At this point am I completely screwed? Thanks in advance.

Join the club.

A lot of n3DS users are getting this same brick and it doesn't appear to be fixable.

If you remove the SD card and start it up and nothing happens, you may have a permanent paperweight on your hands.

n3DSXL has a mixed bag of success rates..and I personally would be in the brick club if I had seen more deadcafe confirmations. 1 / 300+ and rising attempts ain't lookin' good.

I had to remove the sd card and hold the power button, then it went to the power screen and I went directly to the menu.

Did you have to hold the buttons too?

Yeah that sucks. One of the used game stores in my city has N3DS XLs for $140-$160. Just want to try everything I can before picking one up.

How long did you have to hold the power button? It doesn't really do anything when I try just power and when I try the recovery mode combination.

I just waited on the black screen for about 10 seconds, then held the power button until the power menu popped up. Just hold it until the power menu appears.

If you got to the power menu press the home button, and if your unable to try with and without the sd card.

strange maybe if you format the sd card and put it back in it might work, I am unsure though.

Try restoring it in recovering mode, hold A+R+L+Up(DPad) at boot, this will update your system though.
