Hardware I am in a BIG fix regarding a 1.0.0E o3ds updating...please help.

So, I have got an old 1.0.0E 3ds. I have a Pokémon GTI with which I could update it to 4.5 but it doesn't work cuz its north american.so whats the best solution for my 3ds which involves not buying anything? I could update it to 10.3 and wait for memchunkhax to come out or I could just..wait..cuz I can't buy anything. I am welcome to new ways for a fix to my problem and I need the best answer which will be most profitable for me. Thanks.

You're out of luck afaik.
You're at 1.0.0, meaning you have no browser or anything that can install exploits anyway, at least anything that's free.
If you get to 4.5, you may be able use sysupdater to get to 9.2 revision with browser included but your game is region blocked so you can't.

Only real choice you have is update and wait for memchunkhax2 I think.

Well you must be way off because 3DS wasn't out yet in 2008.

Are there really no game shops around where you live in India? If so, that sucks.

Maybe there could be another member here who lives in India who has such a game and who could help?

You said you bought GTI to update, if you can't buy games then how did you buy that one?

Either way, memchunkhax2 should come out sometime within the next 1-2 months and allow you to downgrade, so if you -really- have no way of updating to a more workable firmware, that would be your best bet (updating to 10.3 while you still can.)

Since it's used they'll let you check if it's working in your 3DS. Update it and then say you're not interested

Normmatt will be your friend here try not to pester him with questions though... Instead i'll just leave THIS here and well yeah he explains the process and how to backup your nand. It's pretty much just scanning a QR code and then his godly skills do the rest. PS. Best dude ever Lastly since you won't wanna dig check my attachments... And yeah... region doesn't matter, I used his EUR qr code on my USA one so yeah...

My payload comes with a nand dumper. Its basically just scan qr code and you get a nice menu to dump your nand.

No, but it would give you a way to recover if the downgrade process bricks your 3DS. It'll probably work fine though.

Eh it's just nice to have backups. Let this be a mini session that if it looks hard, reread it and ask questions. Simplify concepts before you jump to something else. [emoji14]
