Did something stupid and deleted some of the wrong files. I can boot but can't run exploits.

I remember there being a way to force update via cart even if you're on that firmware. I have a nand backup just trying to avoid a hard mod

You can't boot into safe mode and use your update method to reinstall 9.2?

Safe mode is primarily there to reinstall and repair bad updates (such as the battery dying mid update), so it should ignore the fact that you're already on 9.2 no?

Ntr won't load.... I tried that

So I'm confused about safe mode; it takes it's updates from nus correct?

Based on what little information is available on the 3dbrew Recovery Mode entry, yes.

Maybe contact yellows8 for more information? If anyone knows more about it, it'd be him.

I know he's been unhelpful when you've contacted him in the past. But now that he's actively contributing to the scene, he may be more open to helping others.

By helpful you mean a 20 paragraph diatribe about how piracy is wrong for wanting to update from 8.1 to 9.2? I'll ask but that color doesn't like me too much

I said the antipiracy novella you received in reply to your last enquiry was unhelpful.

A couple of months on and he's making some pretty big contributions to the scene, perhaps he'll be more open to assisting you now.

I would love to bounce some things off of him maybe I'll try again. I'll call myself red58 after the catchup

The homebrew scene, not the piracy one.
