I really don't see the issue here. Just move some games to an external HD and free up some space, it's not like you need 144 games on the 3DS at all times, considering 100 of those are probably shitty games anyway.

Ya, well I really would prefer not to have to move things on and off my card all the time. plus there's the fact that I don't know how to tell which games are which in my Nintendo3ds folder. I know where they are, but it would be a pain to have to look up what long string of numbers go to what title...

Makes no sense using NAND to store stuff unless it's dsiware and you thus have no choice.

I mean, n3ds ctr NAND is only about 1200MB a piece or something.
If you're actually talking about sysnand mode or emunand mode like I think you are, the games are still all going to the same microSD so there's no magically increased doubling of space.

I thought the 3DS supports only up to 32GB?

The SD Card can be formatted as Fat32 it will then support the higher capacity cards. Later versions of windows only seem to format as exFat which the 3DS will not recognise

Oh, ok. He obviously hit the 128GB sd size limit with far fewer than 300 apps though as most people would. You would have to lean heavily on eshop apps and homebrew cia's to come close to 300.

Not worth, I just back up save files and delete games i finished. Of course you can do whatever you want with the money.

I won't comment on the card is legit or not. If not legit it must have less space for you to fullfil.
I recalled something. it is said that if the SD free space bigger than a value, the 3ds would think that is full.
So they were told to first put the packages to sd to avoid this..
And, CIA installation would cost you twice the space if from SD, and only once from wifi.
If you are sure your card is legit, and free space is smaller than 16GB or whatever, try install another via wifi with FBI.

Anyone that says they 'need' bigger than a 64Gb card for their 3ds should seriously look at their usage.

I've got a 32Gb in my o3ds, a 32Gb in my n3ds, and 32Gb in my Sky3ds - way more than enough than I'm ever likely to need on a regular basis... way more than even a heavy gamer will need.
Sounds to me like you're archiving everything on your 3ds - I bet if you strip off the stuff you don't play you'll find you've got over 100Gb free.

I mean, with 128gb you've got an helluva space for games and whatnot, even if it's not all of them.
Then, when you finish a few games, just delete them and replace them with others.
