I remember an issue with the first cfw where it couldnt save the game. Does this still exist, am thinking of updating sysnand to 9.2 for auto boot but not much point in rx if it cant save on those games?

is that defo as the downgrade mod isnt conveniently places at the minute ive just terminated the wires and wrapped it up inside. idea is for the other ds to never bother needing to buy a gw.Yes it can.
Sometimes autoboot will fail, albeit rarely.is that defo as the downgrade mod isnt conveniently places at the minute ive just terminated the wires and wrapped it up inside. idea is for the other ds to never bother needing to buy a gw.
I have a gw for my system but my gf has lost her r4 delux cards. i am contemplating updating it to 9.2 and to just use rxtools auto loader.
btw you know if rxtools for some reason fails to autoboot is it a pita the set it backup again if it is that pretty much renders that option useless as it will be her 3ds and more than likely wouldnt be able to do it. How reliable is the autoboot system? cheers for the info.
yea its already unlinked atm. am contemplating it to be honest its probably not worth it have read a few people bricking trying to install the auto boot stuff. i can unbrick but am not in the mood for opening it again unwrapping the wires and resoldering to the sdreader (will have to sort a connector out at some point). hmm will have to have a think about it the autoboot does sound bloody convenient though and she could have the internet completely disabled on synand, the way its currently setup the browser needs to be used to launch rx.Sometimes autoboot will fail, albeit rarely.
Just shutdown and try again if it does.
Once on 9.2, you can go back to 4.5 in software with the Gateway launcher, no need for hardmod.
rxTools autoboot does need an unlinked EmuNAND though.
The wireless switch applies to sysnand and emunand.yea its already unlinked atm. am contemplating it to be honest its probably not worth it have read a few people bricking trying to install the auto boot stuff. i can unbrick but am not in the mood for opening it again unwrapping the wires and resoldering to the sdreader (will have to sort a connector out at some point). hmm will have to have a think about it the autoboot does sound bloody convenient though and she could have the internet completely disabled on synand, the way its currently setup the browser needs to be used to launch rx.
indeed but you can delete the internet setting on sysnand so it doesnt have internet access where as you can keep the settings on enand so it works on enand, thats my thinking. The wireless switch applies to sysnand and emunand.
You could use MSET, but if she played DS games it would need to be reinstalled.
With themehax autoboot, the only time you'll ever end up in SysNAND is if you hold a button or your SD card is removed.indeed but you can delete the internet setting on sysnand so it doesnt have internet access where as you can keep the settings on enand so it works on enand, thats my thinking.
is it pretty brick safe setting it up have read a couple of people bricking whilst setting it up.With themehax autoboot, the only time you'll ever end up in SysNAND is if you hold a button or your SD card is removed.
Can't imagine it being any more dangerous than other rxTools entry points.is it pretty brick safe setting it up have read a couple of people bricking whilst setting it up.
and ye that does sound good.
ok, is there anything on 4.5 that cant be done on 9.2 also is 9.0 or 9.2 the best version for themehax or doesn't it matter? Can't imagine it being any more dangerous than other rxTools entry points.
You'd have to screw up really badly.
Not that I know of, 9.2 is the only version that can be updated to with a game AFAIK.ok, is there anything on 4.5 that cant be done on 9.2 also is 9.0 or 9.2 the best version for themehax or doesn't it matter?
im on o3ds XL
all good ill follow the guide to a T, its a great guide. maybe the bricks are just people not doing what there supposed to be doing, who knows. Not that I know of, 9.2 is the only version that can be updated to with a game AFAIK.
Make sure you use sysupdater in rxTools devmode and NOT rxMode or you will brick your system.
What is this about autobooting rxTools?
Note that Dev Mode has been renamed Pasta Mode and it's under Advanced Options in the rxTools menu. I updated a 3DS with sysupdater and rxTools Pasta Mode yesterday and all went well. However, it turns out the pack labeled 9.2.0-20U on *that ISO site* was actually for 9.0.0-20U. For the purposes of autoboot CFW, it doesn't matter since themehax works just fine on 9.0 too, but it could have just as easily been 9.3 which would have been bad.all good ill follow the guide to a T, its a great guide. maybe the bricks are just people not doing what there supposed to be doing, who knows.

I was running a nightly from September, currently trying to update to the latest nightly and the thing isn't working. Might have to revert to the old version.Note that Dev Mode has been renamed Pasta Mode and it's under Advanced Options in the rxTools menu. Is there a guide for this yet? I have CN and I'm on 9.2, but I've yet to even touch themehax or ctrbootmanagerYou turn your 3DS on and it boots directly to custom firmware.
