Depends on your retailer bundles.

I can suggest buing the Mario Kart 8 pre-installed Premium Pack.

On the bottom is the sticker, my recently buyed was FEF1022.

If it has 'Nintendo 2012-2014, 2014' on his back, you should be fine.

just posting this here since i think its worth a look

Dimok loaddine does not work with snes VC injects on the rpxs, the Vc boots but doesnt launch the injected roms, but official VC roms of snes run fine, but the injected roms work perfectly fine in original loadiine so something was broken in dimoks i guess.

Can we use another game?
yes and no.
Another game grants SD card access, but can't load a lot of games.
The loaded games are dependent to the launched game's executable size.
Only Smash Bros is big enough to allow other games to be launched.

As I understood I can load part of games with help of mario kart 8 right now, or this opportunity isn't implemented?

I have this wii usb ethernet adapter too, wonder how fast the loading time in loadiine is.

Reading speed for internal SD Card Slot is around 60 Mbyte/s depending
on your used Card, but i dunno if the WiiU is capeable to fully use it.

Wlan connects with around 68 Mbits/s (~8,5MByte/s) and is unstable
depending on distance or interference and ping.

The Lan adapter has 100 Mbits/s (~12,5MByte/s), exclude Qos from
default settings on your PC is a minus of 10%.

If someone cares, write a speedtest program for Wii-U ;)

let me rephrase the answer :

yes and no.
"Art Academy: Atelier" is another game which could grant SD card access, but it can't load a lot of games.
It's not a working game to launch backups. it could be used, but seeing the limitation, SSBU is the required game.

ONLY TWO games can grant you SD card access :
- Super Smash Bros. for WiiU
- Art Academy: atelier

SSBU can let you launch games containing up to 20MB RPX/RPL
ArtAc. can let you launch games containing up to 4MB RPX/RPL

Which means, almost no games can be launched from SD card.

No, because Mario Kart 8 has no SD access ;)

edit: you COULD use any game and load the files via network, but that would be really slow

So if it's really technically possible to load games via network, we could just use the game which has the largest rpx and no longer have any problems with too large rpx sizes?
How much work would it be to modify loadiine to load games via network?

theorically you could load games using network only, but even golden45 himself couldn't run a game fully with that, it's super slow and can't even reach gameplay

even by Ethernet ?

People tried that ethernet adapter, appearently it's even slower than wifi

Theorically you just have to combine loadiine in cafiine, i̶̶ ̶̶w̶̶i̶̶l̶̶l̶̶ ̶̶t̶̶r̶̶y̶̶ ̶̶i̶̶t̶
edit: and add the fs function replacements

Last edited by Maschell,
Cafiine was one by one for files, but that won't lift the ~20 MB rpx+rpl curse, or?
My uneducated understanding : Loadiine is a modified version of cafiine, Loadiine replaces the rpx of the running game to another..
With network, any game can be used, and if the used game has large rpx size (like mario party 10) it should load the large rpx file respectively. Except that the issue with Network is it cannot handle that amount of files, let alone speed if you even had a smaller game.

If i understand this right, the loading priority for files is:

Game-Update > Game-Disc. Using the latest SSB Update (EUR) is:

cross_f.rpx 21.772.096 Bytes (Update) vs 20,4 MB (Disc)

Using Mario Party 10 (EUR) RPX+RPL 11,7 + 112,2 MB
what would allow all games sizewise if Networking runs
smoothly. (And it contains 5.3.2^_^)

What's stopping it from loading rpx from network and files from sd card?
