I bought a 128gb sd card (my old one is 64gb) and I was wondering if it's necessary to format the new sd specifically from hekate.
I'm saying this cus I don't have any extra partitions in the SD card and I thought maybe just copying the old stuff to the new sd card from my pc would be enough?

Correct me if I DO need to format from hekate, even if I don't need emummc/linux/android partitions.

Thanks.

If you don't have extra partitions or emunand/ emummc then simple copy paste will work.
I would format the new sdcard on pc to FAT32, not use Hekate.

Thanks, altho something really stupid happened.

I was copying from my old sd to my pc, but it was taking too long and I had to leave outside, so I left it there.
I came home to find 99% complete, except certain atmosphere folders didnt copy because "the path didn't exist". One of them was "hosts" but i pressed to skip all of them since i could just search them myself.

LITTLE DID I KNOW THE ATMOSPHERE FOLDER WAS CORRUPT, AND WHEN I REMOVED AND INSERTED THE SD AGAIN, IT TOLD ME TO FORMAT IT.

Idk what exactly is stored in atmosphere outside of like, game patches and yknow atmosphere itself, but everything else seems to have copied just fine (thankfully).

Should I just ditch the old atmosphere folder and just get atmosphere anew? Cus both my switch and atmosphere are kinda outdated (i think switch ver is 20.3.0?).

Please let me know, and thanks for the help.
