Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain official launch trailer (A Hideo Kojima trailer)

Konami have released the final launch trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain which has been directed and edited by Hideo Kojima.

Like the game itself, this may very well be Hideo Kojima's last contribution to the Metal Gear Solid franchise. The trailer takes you on a brief journey through Metal Gear Solid's history and teases the Phantom Pain which is out this September 1st.

If you are avoiding spoilers for this game then you may want to skip this trailer.

Wow, this trailer was beautiful and unlike what Konami released previously. As pointed out by Hideo Kojima this is the final MGS so whether Konami makes more of them or not they'll be "filler".

And for those that missed out, then get on it! Play the Legacy collection on PS3 (then again if they don't have one, oops)!

Didn't know you can direct a trailer. LOL

Honestly the trailer felt very amteurish. Should have a hired a proper trailer editor.
The game looks pretty epic though.

I hope someone picks him up or he starts his own company.
If that happens he still wouldn't be able to use the Metal Gear Solid franchise because Konami owns it. But if you mean, make similar games then yeah, that'd be great for the fans.

I just hope he doesn't become a dick like Keiji Inafune.

Of course I know he can't take the MGS franchise with him. He just needs to face new challenges of creating another great game, starting fresh and being his own boss.

This game is going to sell so much that Konami will try get Kojima back!

He can't do a MGS game but he can freelance at Konami and direct it again. In his position I would just move on to something different though.

No collector's edition for PC, which makes me sad. Already have it pre-ordered though, so I'm pretty excited for when it comes out finally.
