Gaming Animal Crossing's Amiibo Cards Are Kinda Cheap

It's on pre-order (3x cards) at Amazon UK for £6.26 which exchanges to $9.76 (using XE Converter). Not a bad price but this isn't the type of Animal Crossing I'd want nor am I interesting in buying amiibos for myself.

Hmmm by my calculations they're marking it up about 16,000%.
(yes I know the nfc chip costs money and so does designing and printing the artwork... but you get the point)

I've dropped my amiibos multiple times, and they didn't broke. Sorry for your loss lol.

The sad truth is, if it didn't have the stupid card system attached, I might actually enjoy happy home designer. . . . I am afraid the game will rely on these too heavily to stand on its own, baiting people in with a budget price for the game.

I could see this work as a WiiU Eshop title btw

I'm curious though, aside from the cards, who else is ready to admit they might enjoy being a virtual interior designer?

You want my honest opinion? Pretty much everything since Gamecube & GBA has been bullshit. Train keeps a rollin' though, and nothin' I can do to stop it. Guess I'll go play a little Double Dash.

As I agree with you, I have to say that the Wii and the 3DS are awesome though.

It's a meh opinion actually. I don't hate it. That's pretty much it. I have some games I like, but I tend to use vWii more and nintendont.

Although, I still use it, and await the upcoming games like Zelda U and Starfox

It's not as good as GC and GBA were, but they're still sorta decent. It's annoying that MK8's cool costumes are locked away until you get the certain amiibos to unlock them.

I wonder if they'll make a Ryu costume available on MK8, hm...

So do I. I'll play smash 4, but i'd rather boot up project M.

They're milking the collectables market that Skylanders and Disney Infinity got so right. Except that Amiibos and cards don't really add much to the experience, unless it's like this where it's designed for the game. Prices will go up, people will pay £10 for one lousy card and it's like fricking shulk all over again. They'll no doubt make holofoil rare cards to drive prices up even more. I've played in card game championships, I know how desperate people are to have the best cards, no matter what it's for.
