Huh. My story goes something like this: I played around with my O3DS, and had it as my one and only device for a while. Hacked it to bits. N3DS comes out and I naturally snag one, because i'm hyped for MM. I make a new emunand off my regular sysnand, and update that all the way. I then transfer that emunand to my N3DS sysnand. This naturally formats the emunand, but I just ignore it after that point.
Pasta comes along and I push a Nand restore to my O3DS, restoring it to the same NAND but on 9.2 (still all linked). And then I install PastaCFW. All my N3DS content (except for the new stuff) is still on my O3DS. And both are technically linked. But it does nothing except let me use my old legit content on my O3DS.
I have custom themes/cia on my O3DS, and I was wondering whether I should keep my N3DS downgraded in anticipation for a hack.
I have a legitimate copy of SSB that I play on my legit N3DS. As I said, no pressing urges to update.
1. I use CN+Pasta on my 9.2 O3DS. SSB4 I have a legit copy on my legit 9.7 N3DS.
2. Ah, alright then. Doesn't seem like anything that interests me. I did read something about plugins and such, but perhaps that was for NTR?
3. Nononono. Not linked on the same console. I mean my O3DS sysnand and N3DS sysnand are linked. I don't have emunand on either device at the moment.
4. I updated to 9.7 because I was an idiot. I already had my console on 9.5 to system transfer to it (I'm using my N3DS as a legit fully updated device, and I needed to update to do a system transfer at the time). After that, I figured 9.7 couldn't hurt. Now I'm wondering if it's worse to update to 9.8? I'm already aware it's fucked as far as CFW and such goes (which has a cap at 9.2 right now). But I heard something about Ninjhax 2.0, and possibly other hacks coming out. Would 9.8 be worse than 9.7?
