so I played mp1 for the first time now for 44 minutes and this game appears to be endlessly big so far, so many areas to explore heh. I didnt encounter any graphical glitches or cut off parts with the widescreen patch yet so all appears to be stable and good.

Until you get to the ending credits and a timer patch kicks in and crashes the game. LOL.

All 3 Metroid Prime games were very expansive.

Wut?
I'll give background support up for a proper Widescreen hack any day.
Even more if it were for the RE titles :D hahaa
I know what u mean, but there's tons of revs and different "brands" of nintendont, each one with excellent features... Why not put all of it in just ONE?
Imo, I think 4:3 still offers the best image qualiy. But widescreen offers a wider field of view, and that also makes a huge difference. Better have all the options than none.
Yes, RE titles would be awesome!

That question has already been answered tons of pages ago. :P
First off, the images used in the mods are copyrighted (GC logo, characters, etc).
The creators also stated in the OP that Nintendont was never intended as a front-end GUI for GC games, which is another reason why they won't be merged.

I still hope for a configuration per-game kind of thing but this is beating a dead horse hahah

Because of this very reason I really wish for an option to disable the splash screen with the text along with the background, like make the game switch right away from your loader of choice to a black screen (Nintendont minus the visuals) to the GC bios (if you're using one) to the game itself, but I know this'll never happen, not in the official builds anyway, it's alright though I can get used to the splash screen.

If you want to click on a GC game in a loader, then see the GC BIOS animation, then see the game start all without any Nintendont text or logos, you could use my mod of Nintendont that plays the BIOS animation instead of the text.

lol I used to use this technique with Dios Mios a couple of years ago but I switched to using the real bios screen instead, not only does it look better but it has all the features the original bios screen had like managing data and changing the clock.

Edit: Oh wait, I thought you meant a mod of usbloader which displays a banner that is like the GC bios screen instead.

The animation in my mod of Nintendont should look and sound exactly like the real GC BIOS, except it isn't interactive. The images are loss-lessly compressed in the PNG format, and the sound in an MP3 file with maximum quality settings. If there is any decrease in quality compared to the original, it is definitely undetectable to the human senses.

just because it doesnt bother you doesnt mean it doesnt bother everyone else.

So widescreen isnt important but bios support with real MC is?Lol that is your opinion im preety sure most ppl would have the oposite one, and fix already said to make the bios work he does some nasty exi patching wich wouldnt work with real MCs i think on a post he even said it is probably not doable if you search this thread, its not
a matter of enabling bios with real MCs or not, its a matter that the bios uses code that breaks real mcs functions.
Both the midway noise and the power puff girl no sound in cutscenes are things fix looked into but said those games used an sound encodding that isnt on the sdk so fix would have to basicaly make a huge chunk of investigating and reverse engeniring and make a full DSP patch just for those games to get those sounds working which would take alot of work thats why he hasnt made it and probably wont.
Well it sure does bother me. Not just the problems that sonictopfan mentioned, but your twisted sense of self righteousness over him. He is right about it. Problems that keep people from playing games and even save them should be taken care of before anything cosmetic. Nintendont is like a beautiful Italian sports car that is scratched and dented and doesn't go over 30mph. You seem to think that it's more important to take care of the scratches and dents instead of getting more horsepower.
remenber you need to update to rev 335 to get the widescreen code.
Please refer to it as v3.335. Using the full version number helps clear up confusion among noobs.

I'm sorry to nitpick and I know I'm going to piss a lot of people but is it more important to get a game to work on real widescreen that already have an official widescreen port than fixing some of the remaining games that still don't work properly? I'm sorry but I just don't see why it's important to many to have widescreen support, I mean even most Wii games don't have widescreen support!
Nothing is more important than the decisions of the developer with his free coding time. If you don't have any use for some new widescreen patches, which are always nice, you're more than welcome to take the source and fix remaining problems by yourself. It's pretty simple really.

I'm off to test the Metroid Prime widescreen, it's great that i waited to play the game all this time
Awesome! Now we have metroid prime HD without having this nasty wiimote pointing from the wii version :grog:
This.

I tested your mod, I like the option to set my own background of choice with a click of a button, pretty neat, but I couldn't find the GC bios effect you mentioned, is it like an option?

He didnt said any of the games that had trouble saving and they arent on the wiki so its not like we need to guess are we?I just told you why fix didnt fixed gtcube, midway arcade 2 noise or powerpuff girls sound, that wasnt me making stuff up, fix took a look at them several times but couldnt fix them, and your like crucifying him for doing a specifiq widescreen code that he liked to do, heck if he wanted to loose his time just updating a single crappy game it would be his choice, its his time.

Please say if this isn't the right place to ask this. But the controls in 007 Everything are Nothing are broken!
i am fully aware this is nothing to do with Nintendont but I always play with inverted controls in shooters or pretty much anything. All is fine when controls are inverted in this game APART from ADS/ironsight/Bond Focus mode. As soon as you hit the L button the controls go back to regular. Somehow back in the day I tolerated this but is there any way at all this can be rectified. I tried playing it now and its almost a game breaker for me.

I actually prefer the Wii version. I think the Wiimote makes it easier to play.
The wiimote is a nice controller for FPS, but Gamecube version has better visual than Wii. they removed some visual and special effects on Wii :(

If it's your first time playing it, try completing it :)
it has a good "metroid feeling", more adventure than FPS.
and yes, you have a lot of area to explore. a lot of searches to do too.

Thanks for the patches.

So your using some sort of compiled nintendont to invert the controls? or is that an ingame option?
Or you want us to change how the game is supposed to be played?
