Hacking [Q] What downloads firmware updates?

So, as the title asks - what title downloads firmware updates? You know - like when we put the 3DS in sleep mode, is there a specific title that downloads them?

If we know what title it is (depending on what it is, mind you), couldn't we just delete it with FBI?

Just Axing.... No, I didn't refer to 3DBrew, to look for answers... Please don't hate on me for that. Still doesn't answer my question on wether or not the consequences would be.

I don't think is it a title. I think is it a service.

Oohh. I already use that to access eShop. So this also disables update nags on O3DS? I didn't know.

I didn't know too, but NIM service downloads the update after checking system firmware, so if NIM service is patched, in theory it can't download the last firmware.

Makes sense. I'll test the theory later

1.) Delete currently saved data via Recovery Menu
2.) Apply patch and leave console in sleep mode.
3.) Profit?
4.) Confirm if the theory is true or not.
