Now how do you stop the "New Gift" message from popping up whenever I return to sysnand?
That happens because your emuNAND and sysNAND are linked. If you want that to stop but you also want to be able to use content from emuNAND on sysNAND you'll need two emuNANDs on two SD cards: One linked, one not.

Then use Unlinked (so you can have different themes, content, etc) for regular use and switch to Linked to just get eshop content like game updates for sysNAND. You can unlink by formatting either sysNAND or emuNAND, will wipe your content and unlink your NNID from the console so you'll need to set it up again.

@[user]Steveice10[/user] not really related to FBI, but i just tried to update ctrcommon in my devkitpro with your latest changes but it's failing to compile.

Code:
C:\Users\teron_000\Desktop\GIT-REPOS\ctrcommon>make
Entering '../source/libkhax'
You are not currently on a branch. Please specify which
branch you want to merge with. See git-pull(1) for details.

    git pull <remote> <branch>

Stopping at '../source/libkhax'; script returned non-zero status.
make[1]: *** [submodules] Error 1
make: *** [build] Error 2

On another note, is it possible to somehow allow blargsnes (or any other homebrew for that matter) sound on n3ds? I'm no programmer so i dunno how to go about integrating libkhax / service-patch into it so it can access sound. I know some basic (really basic) stuff, but that's about it.

So i thought I'd ask someone who does know how to integrate it into stuff. :)

It seems DiscostewSM's fork is more up to date than Staplebutters.

Would love to play some snes games on my n3ds, seems to look better on the smaller screen to be honest. haha (i also have an old3ds XL).
I'll look into the Makefile issue and fix it ASAP. As for blargSnes, I'd personally rather not play around with its source code (warnings upon warnings!), but it should be fairly trivial for the authors to add N3DS sound. All they'd have to do is include libkhax and call khaxInit().

EDIT: Makefile issues fixed.

I have emuNAND running thru RXTools don't have any content on my NNID

Could I use one SD Card and just format sysnand (without SD inserted) to Unlink?

If I also wanna have the .cias on my emuNAND what then?

You can do that. Since it's impossible to have DLC and themes on rxMode, you might as well just use one card. There's no need to keep the EmuNAND you use for the eShop linked anymore. rxTools isn't bothered by multiple profiles. Now if you want to ticket transfer back to SysNAND, that might need to be linked though, not sure. Keep a pre-unlink NAND dump and you can always go back, though.

If you ever get a Gateway, on the other hand, well, eShop tends to erase DLC and themes. So then you would want two separate EmuNANDs. Which is why I asked Roxas to consider adding support for multiple EmuNANDs installable via 3ds-triplenand. Though since ticket injecting probably requires linked NANDs, I'll still want e-shop on a separate card -- I'm not going to want my SysNAND legit CIAs showing up when I access the eShop. I'll just run all 3 regions' eShops (if I can get good SecureInfo_A files for doing so) on one card if it gets added.

If you also want the CIAs on your EmuNAND, well, so much easier if you have a Gateway atm. Just boot GW mode without EmuNAND disabled and install again. If you don't, you're kind of stuck with dumping NAND, copying it to your PC, injecting the NAND dump to EmuNAND via EmuNAND Tool, then re-unlinking (then re-installing the games you want in SysNAND). You might just want to wait for the rxTools update.

Themes can be installed with the extdata installer.
Works for custom themes.

OK, thanks for that clarification. Haven't messed with the custom theme apps yet. I'm going to start using them to separate my themes CIAs though, since I've noticed there's a tool for that. Too much deleting the old way now. The last thing on my list tends to be cosmetics. As long as it works.

CIA Themes cannot be installed at this point in time.

I just had this error.
What does it means?
I installed few cia before and there was no error!

Themes CIAs can apparently be converted for use with the custom themes tool, based on what I've read. I've downloaded the app that does it. Not tried it yet though.

Well, what were you trying to install? And to SysNAND or EmuNAND?

Alright. I installed MM3D this morning and found that it didn't appear on the home menu... About to reinstall on another SD. If that doesn't work, what do I do? By the way, it said Install succeeded.

That's odd. Any chance you installed it to NAND by mistake? Also, the only legit CIA is EUR. Do it on a US system, and successful or not, the icon won't show.

Are you on a EUR console? If you are not, please try the following:
1-Install NTR-CFW
2-Download the language emulator plugin
3-Check for the game's titleID, then add a folder to the plugins folder to the root of your SD card, and add the respective emulator .plg file (en_europe I believe)
4-Boot NTR-CFW
5-???
6-Profit!

EDIT: Please note that this only works for N3DS or O3DS on 4.x

EUR MM3D and SSB legit CIAs
US O3DS
So I do this and it will link to my eShop account like other CIAs?

I don't really know because I don't have emuNAND set up on my N3DS, but it won't hurt to try. I do think it won't work though, since it might link it to a EUR eshop account and not a US one. I might be wrong though.

For those interested (or opposed to using Java), I've put together a Python 2.7 version of sockfile here:

Install Python 2.7.x: https://www.python.org/downloads/

Download: FalconPunch

It's been tested under Windows with Python 2.7.8. Simply drag your file onto the script and enter the IP address you need. It's not glamorous, but then again it's not Java. Hope it helps, I take no responsibility if it cooks your device.

That explains it. Icons don't show up for games from other regions (unless you're using something with region patches). Also, the US eShop is never going to let you download an EU game (not that I understand why you would want to when you've got the file stored locally). We still don't even know that going into the eShop with them installed is safe. Nintendo might just be holding the ban hammer back to lure people into a false sense of security.

NTR doesn't work on the old 3DS yet, so what Death78793 just said won't work. You might try RegionThree. Failing that, a region-swapped EmuNAND is how most people are playing these. You'll need Palantine CFW to do it safely, and you'll have to convert between EmuNAND and RedNAND a couple of times using 3ds-Dualnand or 3ds-Triplenand (extract using -o, copy back using -i/-cfw depending on which way you're going).

You install the EUR 4.5 FW CIAs in Palantine, convert to EmuNAND, use cearp's tool to inject an EUR Secureinfo_A (you'll have to find that on your own of course), convert back to RedNAND, rename the "Nintendo 3DS" folder, boot Palantine, system format, delete the new "Nintendo 3DS" folder, rename the old one back, install the legit CIAs, convert back to EmuNAND, boot rxTools, and update. Lots of steps, but it works.

Region Three's method does not work with MM because of missing language files

3DNUS downloaded titles are directly from nintendo and -unless you use the version spoofing function- totally legit.

You can install to whatever NAND you've got FBI running on. It can't tell the difference. But the guide I posted implied sysNAND. Installing the whitelist on emuNAND is pointless.

You can downgrade the browser if you want but not much point as anything that can run FBI or whatever can already use browser hacks.
MSET is possible and has been done by a bunch of people. And to answer the question you'll ask afterwards: no, gateway's DS Profile installer thing for 4.5 isn't going to work, even if you install MSET from 4.5.
MSET from <7.0 is still exploitable though but you'll need a new ROP chain for newer FWs and whatever you want it to launch.

To downgrade anything just remove it and install the replacement. Get TitleIDs/versions from NinUpdates or 3DBrew, download with 3DNUS. Be 1000% careful as the risk of a brick is high, depending on titles downgraded.

Are tiles downloaded with UpdateCDN legit?
