ROM Hack Can Anyone Decrypt Smash 1.06 and Verify Ryu?

Someone (shinyquagsire) apparently found files hinting at Ryu from Street Fighter (and Roy from Melee) in the latest Smash update.

But, in order to save myself creating a new thread for this:
The new update just adds Mewtwo, right?
If so, that means that the DLC just executes some code to "activate" it in the game, right?
If so, could it be something in the save file that's edited? Could we cheat it in without a gateway (SDF on linked secondary emuNAND)?

It adds DLC purchases to smash,including Mewtwo,but it isnt available yet until April 28(even if his files are inside the game,just locked),people can use a code given to them on April 15 to unlock mewtwo early.

As I said,im guessing(If not confirming) he is in the update,since people that dont have Mewtwo can still "see and interact with him",which,knowing online,you cant play unless you update to the newest version.

Well,I think they did consider that,but thats why at least they let the community vote for viable characters for the roster,would you prefer them to have dropped the whole DLC thing as it was suggested?

How would one decrypt the file? I attempted this last night but wasn't able to extract it.
I got the 1.0.6 patch CIA from a certain site;p ( this skips the funkyCIA step) then used rxTools but got
(0 decrypted ctr files message)

You need to install the cia (or do ctrtool --meta=meta file.cia) to get the files of the CIA, then use SD decryptor to decrypt it's files.
Then look with ctrtool at the outputs, one should be the contents. Treat it as a .3ds file (padxorer, yadda yadda)

Haha usually it's true but there's a lot of value with Nintendo's DLC so far. Don't be so silly to assume that everything post released as DLC was complete at launch, or to think that any one of Nintendo's titles with DLC isn't a complete package without the extra content.

Yeah, Mewtwo files are in the update, otherwise you wouldn't be able to fight people with him online etc. Not sure if it's that simple, but why not try, I suppose?

Wow, I'm stupid.
Yeah, someone should try to compare the save files before and after installing the DLC.
They probably have some function call that unlocks it, without touching the save, but it should be tried, at least.

How did you do that?

Dump CIA with FunkyCIA.
Install CIA with PBT-cfw on new SD card.
Generate xorpads for the SD card contents.
Copy all the update's contents (under Nintendo\ 3DS/xxxxx/xxxxx/title/0004000e/0000ee00/content)
Decrypt both .apps with the xorpads.
Find out which is the application and which the manual (0000009.app is application)
Generate xorpads for the .app as if it was a .3ds file.
ctrtool -p --romfs=romfs.bin 000009.app
Decrypt romfs.bin with padxorer.
ctrtool --romfsdir=romfs romfs.bin.out
Profit.

I just typed it without checking for the correct names for the files, but you get the idea.
