Big thank you jernk. I have been working a lot lately, but today I was off and worked with this for a little while. I used the ninjhax method and basically did everything you said to do. Made 2nd mii on updated xl, sent to old 3ds, ninjhaxed him to be special and sent him back to the xl. Works perfectly. He is now special on the 3ds XL as well as the old one. Now I don't have to carry both of them around unless I just want to. I am still unable to make a QR code but that really isn't a big deal to me.
as far as I know he made a Mii in form of an QR code.
It's a different basis.
I wonder how (using what tools) he did it, since that is pretty impressive.
Hey I'm having a small problem. So I'm editing the files just fine, I found the number and replaced the four digits with the numbers given in the command prompt. But when attempting to reintroduce it to you New 3ds it says that it copying failed. Is this because this type of exploit is patched on the New 3ds?

I wanted to make a special mii using this tutorial
I have gateway 3.11 and N3DS XL using Cubic Ninja cart to enter gateway mode
Can I get it working or it's not possible?
I installed the Hex editor but I didn't understand how to get my mii out of the N3DS
is it saved on the iternal SD card or my Gateway SD card because I'm using .cia so I have 2 NANDs
Out of curiosity, does anyone know if the recent Streetpass update disables the Golden Miis? I doubt it, but I'm still curious. The update is out for Japanese 3DS but it won't be out in America until next week.
Forgive me for this confusing post, but what determines the slot what I need to 'goldify' in case of two 3DS-es? I'll be calling the 3DS I made the Mii on the source 3DS, and the 3DS I do the ARcode on the target 3DS.
1. The slot where you created the Mii on the source 3DS
2. From what slot (on the source 3DS) you sent the Mii to the target 3DS (I rearranged them before)
3. The slot where the Mii arrives to the target 3DS
4. The slot where the Mii is (on the target 3DS) when you run the exploit
I hope you'll understand it. Also, I don't really understand how to recalculate hex codes, but this post is already long enough. Thanks in advance!
How can I calculate the values I need?
Can I use the Cubic Ninja method (for calculating only)?
Where can I download Cheat Engine?
And, finally how can I convert ARcodes into the URL format, locally? (I use my own server for Spider exploits, so some JS or PHP code would be awesome.)
Sorry for my question flood, but I don't really understand this process. I want to be able to do it with every Mii!
Thanks in advance!
Doing it now. It's going to be a little messy though
I deleted all Miis except my main one, made a new mii(with copying and sharing off) and used memdump.bin from https://gbatemp.net/threads/spider-arcode.383937/
I opened the RAM dump with HxD and searched for "CFOG" as a text string.
Find the 94. It should be in the same place as in this image
Take note of the address beside, in this case it's 00895A90 for me. Open ar2bin.exe (from the arcode thread) and put the address inside. Add a 2 in front of the address, (example: 20895A90) put a space after the address, and type 00000014.
Save it as arcode.cht on your SD card (remember to put arcode.bin too) and on the 3DS, open the mii maker then go to http://bit.ly/1LgLvSG (http://dukesrg.no-ip.org/3ds/rop/?LoadCode.dat&arcode.bin
Once the browser crashes go back to Mii maker, favorite the Mii and you're done. Relaunch mii maker and see if it's permanent.
If you still see normal pants after relaunching mii maker
Open mii maker, execute the arcode again.
Go back, favorite the mii.
Go into edit and change the sharing to on and copying to on and save.
At this point it should block you from going back to homescreen.
Just click on the power button and click home and go back into Mii maker. It should still be golden.
And yes, it does work with streetpass
EDIT: Video:
Sorry for putting it separate videos. I got too lazy
EDIT: updated the tutorial after I actually read the AR code documentation
Most likely. Unfortunately I don't have cubic ninja nor a firmware that supports it so I can't test it out.
But I'd guess that you need to copy the mii data and inject them 4 bytes at a time thus making many lines
