My old 3ds is 4.5. How can I transfer the Nintendo Id from the old 3ds to the new 3ds without updating the old?(The Nintendo Id is on my 9.5 emunand.)

There are 20 posts a day on this topic lately. You can transfer emunand to emunand, but it's not possible yet on N3DS due to lack of emuNAND as well as lack of 9.5 support in emuNAND for N3DS. You will not be able to sys transfer without an update. No way around it. If you have a hard mod, you can update old and new 3DS, sys transfer, then restore back to 4.5 sysNAND on your old 3DS, but new would be stuck at 9.5.

So, no emunand to sysnand for me with keeping my Gateway acces on my 4.5 3ds(without hardmod).
Is there no other way to use my old NNID on the Bew 3ds?

So if the NNID is on your emuNAND and it's already at 9.5 why can't you just transfer that to your N3DS, note it will update your N3DS to 9.5 as well because both needs to be at the latest version.

Unless I read that wrong? I had a 3DS with my NNID on my emuNAND, I transfered that to my N3DS and my 3DS one is still at sysNAND 4.2 and emuNAND 9.5.

Then everything is fine for me, thanks.

Is it possible to do a system transfer from a sysNAND 9.5 to a N3DS sysNAND 9.0 with emuNAND 9.5 (of course in the future, when gateway updates comes up)?

My roomie did that same thing when he got the MH4U He transferred his NNID from his old 3DS to the N3DS and the game got linked to his NNID afterwards.

Me and a friend of mine transferred his 9.5 EmuNAND (9.2 system) to his MH4U N3DS SysNAND (for legit use) just fine yesterday. It restarted the EmuNAND 3DS into sysNAND the first time and gave a "you need to update" error, but when we tried the both a second and third time it worked fine.

I highly recommend doing a PC transfer instead of the network based one though. The network based one took forever to complete (about 6GB of games on the SD card) and got an error at the end. PC transfer went fine. Restored the EmuNAND again to the original 3DS's SD card after the transfer was complete to the N3DS SysNAND.

It will be kept. I dunno how Nintendo does that, but even though the 3DS is formatted first and then restored afterwards it'll still know that you have the MH 3DS and let you redownload MH4U from the eShop.

Since you restored the emunand on the old 3ds does that mean that you can use your nintendo id on both nintendo 3ds systems?

I'm assuming this is a big fat NO. You may have the games and such you had previously on your emuNAND, but any attempt to go into eShop or anything would result in an error since you're connecting from a device that is no longer linked to your NNID on their servers.

As Maximilious said, it gives off an error. You cannot use the same NNID on both the restored EmuNAND and the SysNAND on the other 3DS, as Nintendo certainly has something stored on their servers that only allow that one 3DS to be activated at once.

Not trying to hijack the thread, just thought this would be a better post in here, but...

Do both my 9.2U 2DS and my soon-to-be-had- 9.0/9.2 N3DS BOTH have to be updated to 9.5/the latest OFW to do a system transfer? Or can one of them stay as they are?

If you have a 9.5 EmuNAND on either of the 3DSes, it'll work just fine. You can transfer using the EmuNAND using the System Transfer tool and it'll transfer and format it as intended. The original's SysNAND is untouched after transferring the original's EmuNAND to the other 3DS' SysNAND and thus the original 3DS can stay on 9.2 or whatever you want to.

So in other words, yes one of them can stay on 9.2

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.
