I guess you didn't see my post regarding the idea behind someone making a thread, that's stickied and consolidated all compatibility reports into that, but I digress :P I don't have a 3DS, so my suggestions are null and void :creep:

a wiki gbatemp compatibility list like nintendont could be the best idea XD

Exactly. If you're not a fan of wikis, nobody said you can't host a list elsewhere. It just makes sense to have a wiki list as well, since this homebrew is popular here on GBATemp, and I imagine more than a few blargSNES users are also users of apps like Nintendont or Devolution, so they're familiar with the wiki syntax.

I never questioned the sanity of having a wiki for it here on gbatemp. I was actually happy it turned up. I was however NOT happy that I had spent time adding games to the editable gdoc, when I could've added them to ye olde wiki directly instead :P

Could someone please add atleast 1 game so I can see how I'm supposed to add entries to this list for later times?
have to go to bed right now, but I'll try to add stuff to it whenever...

No problem. It IS a bit messy how it leaves screenshots and things in the root. I'm tempted to make a modified version which uses /blargsnes/screenshots for screenshots, and looking in /blargsnes for the border.

StapleButter: Are you open to a pull request for making blargSNES's files a little more organised?
There may be an issue with that. I don't know how the FS module handles it if you try to create a file in a directory that doesn't exist-- maybe you'd need to create the directory manually.

I copied A and B from the google doc. I'll leave it up to others to fill in the rest for now.

I'll try and see what happens if the directory doesn't exist. If it doesn't like it, I'll have blargSNES create it. Not a big deal. :)

Edit: BlargSNES simply says "Error saving screenshot." I can probably just have it check for the existence of /blargsnes and /blargsnes/screenshots at startup, and then if they don't exist, just default to the root like it is now. That way nothing should break if people don't want to use a new folder layout. I'll look into this more this weekend though. Serious development can't continue until I get my GW.

Kinda, but not quite.

A prime example is blargSNES itself. It's a port of lolSNES which was made for the DS. While most of the code could be reused as-is modulo a few edits, the PPU renderer had to be rebuilt from scratch. The renderer in lolSNES relies on the DS's 2D GPU, and that hardware isn't available in 3DS mode. (and even if it was, moving away from it is a good thing, emulating the PPU with it was far from perfect)

Well, that's not what I wanted to say. I know you can directly reuse DS code but I wanted to say that emulation working on DS should also be possible on 3DS? (as 3DS is like a more powerful DS)

About the list, I'll still keep using mine personally, I'm not a big fan of wiki, editing isn't the easiest but feel free to copy what I post (not to mention it seems to early to do a wiki compatibility list, the emulator is still in early state and you'll have to clear the page and redo one for each version, which isn't really good in my opinion).

About the list, I'll still keep using mine personally, I'm not a big fan of wiki, editing isn't the easiest but feel free to copy what I post (not to mention it seems to early to do a wiki compatibility list, the emulator is still in early state and you'll have to clear the page and redo one for each version, which isn't really good in my opinion).

I think a compatibility list is always good for everything, mostly for newcomers. We will update that list everytime a new version is done. right now compatibility seems to play around 1.3 and 1.2, due to SPC timing affecting behaviours in games. Many games are fully playable already.
