He may have meant make pressing the home button on a wiimote exit nintendont, even if it doesn't have an accessory plugged into it and isn't currently being used.
Yes, exactly. Basically pressing one button is much more comfortable and I would say ideal than pressing a combination of buttons that are currently being read by the ongoing game. It gives great aesthetic pleasure, and is sexy.

Great job. Only small gripe is nc tilt persistence but i guess you love it so much Howard :)
Anyway, Happy Holidays to all!

P.S. Updated the OP

Thank you for your work.
This works very well with my official nintendo wiimote.
But I wanted to tell you that my unofficial wiimote is unfortunately currently not supported ..
Happy New Year !!

try finding what made nunchuck you have,
if we know more details we can find the needed code and add it to nintendont.

yeah many things can change later.
what about officially adding theme support? Fix94 doesn't mind
here's the latest patch: http://copy.com/vRN3HgFVyk9u7YuB/Public/Themes.patch
Fuck, have I been absent this month in here, I thabk the holidays for that.

I wanted to tell you though that your best shot at it would be posting the link in the main thread and tagging the devs in the post hoping for a response. I would like to see that mod added to the official app, but the main issue would be that some images have copyrighted material. (Gc and Nintendo logos i.e.).

Remove those and perhaps the mod could be added with no issues whatsoever.

I don't care any more

Hi team,

I'm looking to reproduce the Wiimote+nunchuck experience from MK Wii and MK8 in MK DD, but I can't find a controller setting that does that, I'd like to have the following layout :

Most important :
Wiimote(A)<->GC(A) = Accelerate
Wiimote(B)<->GC(R) = Slide
NC(Z)<->GC(Y/X) = Use items
NC(C)<->GC(Z) = switch character
doesn't really matter :
Wiimote(+_down)<->GC(B) = Brake / reverse
Wiimote(1)<->GC(Start) = Pause

I understand the goal here is to design configs that will suit many different games, and I'm only interested in one, is there a place I could start looking if I want to made this config myself ?
Txs in advance !

Hi Lenuisible, I'm looking for a similar layout in order to play MK:DD too.
Yours seems nice, however I think you forgot co-op multiplayer.

This one seems better to me :
Wiimote(A)<->GC(A) = Accelerate
Wiimote(B)<->GC(R) = Slide
NC(Z)<->GC(L) = Slide
NC(C)<->GC(Z) = switch character
Wiimote(D-Pad Down)<->GC(Y/X) = use items
Wiimote(+)<->GC(B) = Brake / reverse
Wiimote(1)<->GC(Start) = Pause

You may be wondering why Slide on Z and L. When you play coop, the player on the back of the kart can attack other racers with L and R trigger ( on GC controller ) depending on the side. With the layer you though of, you would loose that ability.

If I'm not clear enough, I'll explain it in French, I'm French too :)

When using D-Pad down for items, you would have to let go of the A button everytime you do so. Because of this I would suggest switching D-Pad down with the (+) button for a config like this. In short, D-Pad down becomes "break/reverse", while the (+) button becomes the item button.

Well, personaly I'm totally able to press D-Pad Down while holding A :) ( To me, it's more simple than pressing + while holding A, but maybe I'm strange haha )

Their is already a config well suited for racing games like mario kart dd that use the A button for gas.

(2 & down) racing games that require A held for gas
A=Z B=B Z=A +=X -=Y Dpad=Standard
C not pressed L R tilt tied to L R analog triggers.
C pressed tilt control the cStick

It has gas on the nunchuck Z button so it can always be pressed in combination with any other buttons.
It has seperate buttons for X and Y as they perfom different functions in DD and you need booth
It also allow all buttons to be pressed while braking and in reverse.

Try it

Howard I get your point, but I'm looking for consistency in the MK experience between N64/NGC/Wii/WiiU playing all of them on my WiiU with Wiimote+NC, could you point me to the source code managing those configs ? I'm not sure to be able to modify it, but would be interested to have a look.

Antonito you're right, but I never played coop, it must be great, but it's already difficult for me to gather 3 friends good at MK, so finding 3 good at MK DD coop is impossible :)

How about a basic digital config without nunchuck for platformer and racing.

Up = Dpad Right
Down = Dpad Left
Left = Dpad Up or Gyroscope & Accelerometer
Right = Dpad Down or Gyroscope & Accelerometer
A = 1
B = 2
X = -
Y = +
Start = Home
L = B
R = A
Z = A+B
C Up = B + Right
C Down = B + Left
C Left = B + Up
C Right = B + Down
