well yeah its the camera, but its a bit "off" if you cover the IR up.....so yeah its more of a combination of the 2 camera does the tracking and the IR really improves its abilities to keep track

PS yeah i just restarted Oot to enjoy it on the n3DS with proper 3D....does still have a bit of ghosting in places, but much better 3d experience than on the standard 3DS

Too much ghosting though, Nintendo have since worked out how to avoid that in their games.

That's just the nature of 3D, typically moving further away from the screen will help. I have a 3D TV and noticed it on some movies, after I moved the couch further away the ghosting effect went away. Also the same for OoT, but there are some dungeons that make me sick so I had to turn it off haha.

IR to eyeballs... That don't sound healthy.

They even included a silicon case and a strap for the wii controller because people are too ***** ****** *********** ***** ******* to don't trow it in the tv screen or people around them, smashing their face. They care like a grandma.
Do you really think they will use something that will blind you in a child toy? xD

I love the idea of 3D but honestly it hurts my eyes and is just not enjoyable for me. My boys never use it anymore as well.

It's great that many people enjoy it and I will certainly take a look at the new implementation. At the moment I wish they had a 2DS XL in the clamshell design. I wonder what the cost differential would be.

UV is like a buzzword of disease to most people. Like Dihydrogen monoxide.
UV = light = IR = cancer.

Duh :rofl2:

no not true, IR == InfraRed the lower end of the light spectrum, UV == UltraViolet which is the higher end of the light spectrum, after that you get to alpha waves/beta waves gamma rays and xrays which are all harmfull to us (except for alpha waves as they dont pierce even paper), UV is harmfull because it burns which causes skin cancer

UV is ... like.. the total oposite (in wave-lenght terms) of IR.

Precisely my point.

They are very different things, but people tend to think they are the same/similar. Hence they think that IR is dangerous, like UV.

I kinda have some questions about 3DZ files.
Can eshop game headers be dumped?
Do all games (online/offline/streetpass) have headers?
Do the dumped headers work with only one game?

Every time you look at something warm you are getting "IR to the eyeballs". Think about it next time you see a bowl of soup ;)

EDIT: inb4 "gazpacho".

no, eshop games dont have headers, and you can use one header from one game on any/all games if you edit it properly (look in the tutorials section, there is a guide and tool there to do it for you)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you can use any bar/sprite. It will just change the width. Ok good luck and have fun. I'm off to go shoot some pool at the bar. Talk to you later.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why does the health behavior exist if you can just use a variable?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
ok im gonna make my own asset
