QR codes do more than just that. They tell the system to download a package. That package is on a server. Thst server will be flooded once people start using it.

That's not necessarily true. You can store any information you want in a qr code, such as plaintext, links to websites, contact details etc. Ninjhax stores 3ds executable code and then probably pulls the rest of the executable from the server as you can only fit a few kilobytes into a qr code.

I... I think that i'm not following you. You are suggesting that I drug with methanphetamine? ("Dicen que es color azul, y que es pura calidad!!")
I was just explaining why in Spain we eat 12 grapes at the 12 gongs/rings/bell of 12o'clock. The family gathers at the TV, viewieng a program that show the "Puerta del Sol" clock, that, in the year change (2014 to 2015, this time) *gongs* (or bells, however you preffer) 12 times (12 hours = 12 gongs), and, with each *gong*, we eat each of 12 grapes.
I's a well known tradition here in spain!

Off/on-topic (I don't know what's "on" and what's "off" anymore D:):
According to Spanish post service web page ("Correos") my GW is in Delivered status. Sooooo....
PLIZ GEITGUEI, UPDEIT OLREDI!! (spoderman!, nice videos! haha! I loled so much!)
(I need to visit the shipping address I put to gey ma GW)

I was joking but thank you, I learned something today :)

Personnally, I am going to buy a 2DS tonight, according to 2Hack, EmuNAND should be supported so... :D

You're throwing your money away on a 2DS, even if you will have a GW. There's no appeal to a 2DS with a GW since there's no 3D for the games GW can support. Sure you get homebrew but you can get that on a DS2 or R4 card. Just my opinion though. I also know someone who got a 2DS and regrets not getting a 3DS, but it's your money spend it how you will.

I dunno about that.

A lot of people are refreshing the main page a shitload these days. So each person refreshes it many times.
If there is a payload, each user would download it once, or only a few times.

There will be less load on the payload server than the server hosting the actual site. (Unless, of course, it's DDoS-ed :rofl2:)

Edit: Of course, the existence of a web-distributed payload in this new update is still speculation :P
Yea, but a lot of people will be jumping at the time all together. the 10 second refreshes that a lot of people have set up and all will still be on while everyone is scrambling to get the latest update. That's my thought.
Also my knowledge of QR codes isn't the highest, but couldn't they host the package somewhere that can take a higher payload?
The QR code may be just for the activation. I doubt well need to connect to the internet and accidentally get and update nag.
Well, they could just not be present in the first place :P

I was thinking it would be similar to NinjHax...

My guess is if the QR method really turns out to be true that well store all the data on the SD card manually and activate it via a QR code. That seems very plausible.

True the QR code may direct the activation of a file on the root of the internal sd or micro sd card.

I love my 2DS, more than the 3DSs I tried. 3D doesn't work well for me and it's honestly quite gimmicky. I like the overall look of the 2DS, as well as the better grip it has. Far more comfortable.

I'm kind of worried that the exploit will involve scanning a QR code that downloads something from a server hosted by Gateway. Is it possible to scan a QR code that redirects the system to launch a new Launcher?

All I know is if it doesn't come out before New Years I'm going to be pretty upset. The had a video weeks again and have been saying soon, then a few days for weeks after. A month is not soon and is not a few days.

I dont care of 3D, it is useless. I prefer the 2DS's design to 3DS's one...

sounds like someone hasn't used the (flawless 3D) New Nintendo 3DS.

From what I heard, it's an improvement, but still not flawless. Anyways, despite the 3DS's main attraction supposedly being the 3D, I honestly could not care less for the 3D. It's kind of cool, but I find myself always keeping it off after the initial hype.
