That doesn't sound like they "officially removed" it. They acknowledge that people found out how to bypass their 10-game limit, sarcastically call it a "Christmas gift", and imply that newer batches of the card will have the trick blocked. The whole thing sounds bitter, and clearly shows they have no intention to ever open up the restriction. Definitely this is a card to avoid.

They'll have to remove it eventually. Seriously, who the hell do they think they are? And who the hell runs their marketing department? Nobody is gonna say "Ten games limit? Eh, I'll just buy 3 cards!". Rather, a more average response will be "Ten games limit? Fuck you!"

From the sounds of it, they plan to fix this bug when they produce their next batch. Makes me wonder how they plan to compete with Gateway if and when GW releases their 9.x support.

yeah , just see the update news from a r5sdhc reseller .The r5sdhc can support 100 games .
Let's see how they make it !

1. play 10 games what you like them mostly by R5.(we called this "10 game" for short)
Attention :even you can play 100 games so far ,but you still only can save 10 games . As the records are in kernel ,even us are unable to store more . Be sure that you have 10 favorites to play and save without problem at first .
2. Backup any one "10 game" as the first file in your micro sd card , then backup "10 game"(the game not in 10 list) as the second file in your micro sd .
3.Play "10 games " as normal then click switch button . When blue LED keeps flashing , eject your micro sd at once .
4.Insert micro sd card again .Then screen will show "10+ game" .Press and hold the switch button for 2 seconds and let go .
5.If you see the blue led is flashing , then you can go on to play "10+ game"

Don't want to wait for Gateway? If it works on 9.x I believe it is the same method.

You start to ponder if Gateway were correct about that Chinese Maffia statement. Gateway sure as hell seem to be the only once you can trust (except with brickcode).

With all the recent developments in the homebrew scene they should just drop the 10 limit altogether in the next batch, or even better release some kind of official way to play more than 10 games through a software method if possible, this is just simply ridiculous...

When they say this bug won't be in the next batch it's almost like they want people to hurry and buy the ones that are "bugged"...

They will never fix this its just another way of trying to get some more sales since people will think "well let me buy this fast since the next batch will be patched"
