^yes it does i used to own it. undercover and marvel super heroes ALL froze. every lego game eventually will start freezing i think they use sub standard discs or something and sooner or later they won't read properly. it happened with all 3 of them games with me. the lego games are the buggiest POS games ever made.

First, All that HackMii does is automatically download and place the required files to perform the exploits onto an SD card, and then automatically generate a guide on how to do so.

You still need an exploitable title on the WiiU.

Second:

Just forked out $500 for a Wii U and I don't want to wreck it. However, I have a heap of Wii games that I want to put on my Portable HDD.

I have no games for the Wii. How do I install the Homebrew Channel?

Ahem. :P

Dude, go browse the preowned section at EB. You can likely find Lego batman for 10 bucks. That's what I did.
And while you're at it, buy a few more if you find any you like and can afford them.
Finding any of the exploitable titles preowned should be easy to do.

(or at least buy a proper Wii U game, like W101. They need the support.)

In the OP you say that you "have a heap of Wii games that I want to put on my Portable HDD"
What's up with that?
You're not just using backups, are you? :P

Sidenote:
Australia is getting shafted worse than EU when it comes to pricing apparently...

Not from what I've seen, just came back from holiday and EU prices are the same as AUS's, if not higher due to the conversion. Australia has it pretty cheap in some cases, also considering the higher minimum wage.

I had this problem with Lego Harry Potter on PC, it froze and also the controls stopped responding and I had to restart mid level

Just forked out $500 for a Wii U.

Wow! where did you buy it from ? I hope its limited edition or includes plenty of games cause that's really expensive.
A lot of stores are having clearance sales on Wii U's
Premium packs as low as $220 and Skylanders basic packs at $178.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
