I'm assuming showmiiwads is version 1.5 mod. I am assuming you have compared ALL of your "virgin" nand and current nand titles/ios's and only have ios36 to be different. ALL other titles/ios's are the same. Are these assumptions correct? Everything under title 200 and below are identical between the virgin and current nands?

Btw,the numbers from the example I posted are not md5 numbers but sha1 numbers and more involved than this discussion requires(for now).

No the version i'm using is 1.4 so this might be apart of the problem?!? lol Did not know there was a mod version of it so will look now

What guide / steps did you use to get you to this point? I am unclear. You are signing stuff and using what I believe to be obsolete and incompatible software. I am just really confused. Please check ALL of your titles and ios's. You want to get back to as virgin a state as possible without locking yourself out of your vwii. HBC should be working before you get more complicated stuff up and running.

THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT:
Do NOT delete any of your cios's until you are sure have completely fixed the official Nintendo vwii IOS's or you may lock yourself out of your vwii.

I used this youtube guide: (Yes a video) but did read up on a few guide before I started. I followed it to a tee and everything worked as it should and I was happy using Wiiflow mod 4.2.2 but while using it I ran into a problem. The problem was that for the life of me I could not get tatsunoko vs capcom to run. The problem started when I installed some iso's to try to get it working and GC games to run under Wiiflow Mod (I at the time did not know that Wii IOS's don't work under vWii) So that was my mistake

EDIT

When I rip IOS58 from my Nand backup (using modmiiwads 1.5 now) and try and install it I get a error ret = -1022. I understand this error as the wad file has not been packed right so is there a program for wads under vWii that I can unpack and pack again?

You don't need 1.5, you need 1.5 mod v1.0, which is not using the key.bin anymore.

I think it's an error when you have a bad or corrupted ticket.
Try to re-extract the wad from your dump with ShowMiiWad mod (I think you need the latest mod for vWii)

Also, you are trying things that nobody suggested, and without talking about it first.
We asked that you don't try things without telling it and without being sure of what you are doing. You probably are messing even more by using Wii tools on vWii files.

bug checker seems to know what to do, so I'll leave him help you (I'm not always here to follow this thread).
Good luck.

Now you have a problem with IOS58? How many IOS's are a problem for you? Have you checked?

Btw, yes 1.5 mod was meant

read this thread(completely)
http://gbatemp.net/threads/installed-wii-ios58-on-vwii-how-to-reverse.366468/
specifically this post http://gbatemp.net/threads/installed-wii-ios58-on-vwii-how-to-reverse.366468/#post-5005098

Btw, you may get hbc working but still may leave errors behind if you do not fix everything (look for comments on date/time etc.)

Yes. Heed the words of cyan and bug checker. Don't jump ahead. The reason you're having problems is hbc sees the trucha and fails due to it being a fake signed iOS

As I said before its only IOS36 & IOS58. Since I was told to 'Virgin' my vWii as much as I can I stupidly installed IOS36 making IOS236 useless so now every IOS i use as base including 249, 250 & 251 gives me error ret = -1071

Please do your best to be patient. There is no need to go through ALL of these error codes.

After watching that video on youtube, my guess is that you backed up your nand after you installed the cios's.
I'm guessing because you still haven't shown a file compare or md5 or sha1 of all your titles/ios's from what is assumed to be a "virgin-as-you-can-get-on-a-wiiu-w/o-a-hardware-mod" nand w/hbc installed and your current nand the one that is working right now (or as recently as possible).

How did you get 236 to begin working again?

Also, I'm assuming it is a new wiiu and you can still return it (if you are unsuccessful) for an exchange.

And finally, btw, I should never be guessing or have to guess about what you did. No one on the forums should. You should take care to document everything and report back. I see it as a not-so-cheap computer. We want to keep it working as good as new. If I wouldn't do something myself I would not ask you or others to do it. As you go forward (trying to fix the vwii on the wiiu) things only become riskier for you to try. I need to trust that there will be no bull-in-china-shop/act-first-think(regret) later.

what version of YAWMM are you using? Is it?

Sorry but I suffer with aspergers and do find it hard to keep it under control a lot of the time so.....

Yes i'm using YAWMM_-DE-English-Translation so will look at that link now and I don't know how I got it working again but I went to bed, woke up and tried again to install IOS58 and by magic IOS236 worked.

Everything is how is should be apart from IOS36 & IOS58, all other IOS's are fine. All im worried about is getting IOS58 to install

EDIT

This is the SHA1 checksum for IOS58: 5909ecff7b8351eefbae8d833c7439e9d0f63a82

What firmware version are you on? You can view this in the Wii U settings in the upper right corner of the screen. It's usually like this X.X.XU/E/J. "X" is just a variable and the letter at the end corresponds to region of your console itself. If you're not on the latest update, you could try just updating your console officially (if it will let you). Generally speaking most of the system updates for the Wii U don't effect the vWii, but i've heard of this helping people out in rare cases. Its a bit of a long shot, but it might just work. See if you're on any firmware below 5.0.0U/E/J. If you are, try updating the console officially.... Outside of that, it looks like you're running out of options, unless somebody else here knows something I don't.

I mean you could reflash the vWii NAND with a hardware programmer, assuming you have a dump of it from before all these problems started, but that's gonna require some crazy soldering skills and you could permanently botch your motherboard doing that, meaning no Wii U period! You'd have to buy a brand new console. I don't recommend doing this for that reason.... Unless you can use a soldering iron LIKE A BOSS lol.

I was one of those rare cases and it worked for me but like I said before if you delete the ios it will reinstall it.
but if it dosent update at all it means the updater detected an ios (other than 58 or cios's) that is not nintendos

My Wii U is E and i'm already on the latest update lol I did read that and my heart sank a bit thinking why did I update as soon as I got the bloody thing lol The only IOS's that have a * next to them in Syscheck are IOS36 (Might be because I installed IOS236) and IOS58 so I hope I can update next time and it fixes the problem

My misses is the one that can solder like a BOSS lol We did look into that but I was told the Nand chip that holds the vWii is split into partitions so whould be very hard to and the other Nand chip just helps to boot into the vWii

BUT and we have a big but here lol When I click on the forwarder channel is starts off with the scam screen!?! Have to wait for about 2 minutes for PRESS 1 to show up then it boots into HBC. Yes its a quick fix and I can homebrew again BUT would still love to be able to install HBC the right way so I still need help lol I have tried the normal way with the boot.elf file but it STILL tries to run on IOS59 even tho the quick fix way says its installed with IOS58 so would still like some help sorting this out please
