What I'm seeing so far in this thread, *bitch, bitch, bitch* *Mods will be used for cheating* *Mods WON'T be used for cheating* *Video is fake and has been fabricated* Let's see, what else did I forget to cover?

Who the hell cares? Don't be so effing bitter about this. No wonder people don't want to release their hacks, because of attitudes like yours and the fear-mongering that's spread from said attitudes.

Boo freaking hoo, so people want homebrew, sorry, but it can't be stopped. Gonna happen whether you like it or not. Grow a pair and get used to it :P

Seems you're the myopic one here. These hacks are stupid, pointless and most importantly PREMATURE. Basically, Nintendo will now close a very easy exploit and make it a hell of a lot more difficult to easily hack this game and SSB like it was done on the Wii. Nintendo would obviously have known of this exploit before this, but this stupid "hack" is going to force their hand faster and for what? Not much, that's for damn sure. Whereas if they would have waited to release something worthwhile with it, well we would have had something worthwhile before the hammer came down.

what is the bowser exploit that the people in the video are referring too?

If you won't read the stickies on the main page for wiiu hacking/homebrew
http://gbatemp.net/forums/wii-u-hacking-homebrew.248/
If you won't scroll down the main page and read the threads that have the word "browser" or "exploit" or "hacking" in topic titles
If you won't use the forum's search feature,
If you won't use google http://lmgtfy.com/?q=site:gbatemp.net browser exploit
I dunno why you would ask someone to waste their time doing most of that for you.
Oh wait, I just did. I see what you did.

btw, browser exploit != shellcode
perhaps you are asking about the race condition with the shellcode that they were hiding behind the curtains.

This exploded, I was expecting nothing to come from this thread. :-/

You'd be surprised what can trigger these kinds of thread explosions, if you will :P

what it needs is a 1080 P Mod because the graphics are shitty and Blockie and 720 p

I'm not sure why people are worried about cheats being used. I'm sure Nintendo will be on top of banning people who do cheat. So it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Considering that people have found exploits around v4.3 on the Wii before the Wii U came out and one for the Wii mode on the Wii U, it won't take much for them to bounce back on exploiting it on every version, if possible. The 3DS is undergoing very similar circumstances. Some of these mods, like adding custom content is pretty much the equivalent of free third-party DLC that expands the game and eventually, its life span for some.

Do you want lag? Because that's how you get lag.

I'm glad to see that something's coming from the exploit so soon. How cool would that be if Smash Bros. U got the same treatment? Best of luck to you, Dantarion.

Huh this is the more legit exploit showcase that i have ever seen on the wii u before, the things that make me realized this is true are 1. The fact that this guys didn't apear out of nowhere with a random exploit that nobody have never heard about and 2. It make sense that the wii u crashed when trying to load the miiverse comments for the moded track. So yeah i'm pretty positive about this find but i'm not expecting something big any time soon

Not exactly. This exploit may lead to a homebrew channel someday yes, but what I understand from reading is that all they have is an on-the-fly ram editor. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong.

Mk8 would benefit from 1080p and 30fps. The jaggedness in the background is so 2004.

Yeah right, ain't gonna happen, you would have to modify a lot of the game's code to do that. People who focus too much on the graphx in gaemz shouldn't be playing them :creep:

While I can't remember seeing it happen on consoles changing the framerate and resolution are usually fairly easy mods depending on how the engine works.
Honestly though I'd take 720@60 over 1080@30 any day of the week.

This looks awesome, anything that indicates that there's progress towards homebrew makes me a happy panda :D
Wouldn't mind custom tracks for MK8 either, keep up the good work and ignore the whiners...

Is there a reason you think that's a feasible thing to do? If the Wii U could handle it, don't you think the developers would have done it?

The game is good as it is, people are simply nit picky about 720/60; for the game, it's more than sufficient.

Likewise, the game looks fantastic at 720 @60.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Not a big movie buff, more of a gamer tbh. And Series X is 120hz 8k ready, but yea only 120hz 4k games out right now, but thinking of in the future.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
