Lindsay Lohan sues GTA V creators

This famous actress sued them because she believes a minor character in this game -- Lacey Jonas completely resembles her. If you find her down an alleyway, an event occurs where she asks you to drive her home because of paparazzi people keep following her. When you drive her home, photographers are behind your back.

Lohan's suit says a character named Lacey Jonas is an "unequivocal" reference to the "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" star.
The suit says Lohan's image, voice and styles from her clothing line are depicted. It says the game features West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel, where Lohan once lived.

UPDATE - suit dismissed! The NY State Court ruled that she doesn't look like that minor character at all.

The disclaimer was invented to prevent law suits, but I don't think it's effective.

A very old story as far as "news" goes.

But it also speaks alot about her self-image. She see's a skanky, insuferable character, and the 1st person or only person she thinks to compare with is herself?

Or much-more likely, she was told to what to say or think by another party, hoping in an attempt to cash-in legally. Theres clearly no case here for any sane-person, but with the right Hollywood lawyers and judges you'll either luck into a cash settlement, or generate buzz around your name, likeness, or image. Even with bad press, if she keeps people from forgetting her, then she has potential to book some gig, somewhere. By making news about yourself like this, even if it paints you as an annoying, or stupid human being, she's going to benefit from the notoriety that comes with it.

The fact that it became a story, and the fact that you posted said story here, you can make the arguement that you helped her "win." You're helping Lindsy Lohan as a celebrity more by talking bad about her, than to choose not to talk about her at all. However if it were that easy not to talk about terrible people, then Hollywood wouldn't be what it is today. Its very likely that the idea to sue Rockstar because of GTA V is not originally her idea, but her lawyers. Anytime a great thing becomes great, there will be lawyers that ask themselves "How can I benefit from this?" towards other people's/company's success.
