Hacking I Can Load Games Off of WBFS But Not NTFS.

So on either WiiFlow USB Loader GX and CFG USB Loader, I can load any game off of a WBFS formatted partition, even on my flash drive, and I cannot shrink my NTFS partition any more, no idea why, i have >80 GB left no matter what program I use, and even in disk management, but that's another story. Can I know what I need to do to load games off of a NTFS partition on any of these? Doesn't matter if it works for one or for all of them. Just would like to know, and if it helps, the games do show up on the NTFS partition (yes after a reload of my cache and all) And I don't think I would need to download anything new or anything since I can load games fine off of WBFS. And if it helps, the games were installed onto the WBFS partition, I used WIi Backup Manager to transfer to the NTFS partition. Should I try to install to NTFS and if that doesn't work then what? I dunno, just would like some help guys. Thanks!

NTFS barely works, it's not recommended and more proof-of-concept than an actual, fully working implementation of the filesystem. It is strongly recommended that you switch to FAT32 - backup managers split ISO images over 4GB anyways so you will not experience any issues at all with games using dual-layered DVD's, plus you can also store all your homebrew and multimedia on the same drive. Format to FAT32, use Wii Backup Manager for your backups and you'll be fine.

But I can't just format my drive to FAT32, because I have around ~150 GB of stuff I use on my PC. And there's no way for me to shrink my NTFS partition and just format the Unformatted Partition to FAT32, trust me, I would if I could. And also, I think I know also now that NTFS barely works, because it doesn't work for me. Lol. xD

But what you're saying, or at least what I inferred, is that if I can't get my NTFS partition to work as it is, there is no hope for it?

Here's what I'd do. Divide the drive into two partitions - one for your PC-side stuff which can be NTFS and one smaller partition specifically for Wii software which should be FAT32 - this should solve both of your problems in one swoop. If that doesn't work, make sure that you're copying the files into the correct directory on the drive and that they have correct filenames or use Wii Backup Manager to actually mount the disk and transfer the games for you, that's the only solution I can provide. If the games load fine from WBFS and refuse to load from NTFS then the filesystem is at fault, not your cIOS setup (unless it's *really* ancient and doesn't support NTFS while the loaders do. If you've modded your system a long time ago, it might be time to update).

And I don't think my cIOS setup is ancient, I think I reinstalled cIOS last week, or the week before. But if I could resize my partition for WBFS and not now, should I delete the WBFS partition, and if I cannot resize again, just deal with the 20 GB that I am stuck with, and just do what I have been doing? I suggest using Partition Master - it's a free tool that's really good at resizing partitions. Once you're done with that, format your WBFS partition to FAT32 through Wii Backup Manager and then transfer all the games back onto it, I'm almost certain that this will solve your issue.

And I use Wii Backup Manager to transfer the games between partitions, forgot to add that, and I would've edited but my internet speed is literally dial-up, not a joke, being literal. So please don't flame. :X

If you are talking about EaseUS or MiniTool, tried them, fails every time, can't tell you about EaseUS as I can't see s*** in the BIOS, laptop doesn't show anything pre-operating system, like when it asks if I wanna boot Windows 8 or 7, it shows nothing through VGA, I hate it.

Oh gosh, so I am stuck with a 50 GB partition in FAT32 because now when I try to shrink it any more I get I/O errors that are false from my knowledge as I even used the Western Digital tool and did a full 3 hour diagnostics check and got nothing. But anyways, that's not my issue, now when I try to launch Skyward Sword, right after it does the WiiMotion Plus configuration it stays at a black screen, only this game so far does this....ugh, my hard drive hates me, or my Wii does. XD

Only this one particular game? On a FAT32 setup? That's odd. Have you tried launching it using a different cIOS? Perhaps you should post a SysCheck just to make sure everything's in order. As far as shrinking is concerned, I'm not actually sure if the Wii... "likes" that - are you getting any issues on a non-shrunk partition? Speaking of partitioning, I forgot to mention that the partition has to be Primary, but you probably already know that since some games do launch.
