Here is a video of the current browser exploit being used to show a simple Hello World for anyone that wants to see what it looks like!

It's OK, the exploit still exists in 5.0 they just need some intrepid person to get the chain and release it for everyone to use :)

You need to block Nintendo's update server in your router. There are a few guides posted around here to help you get it done. Turning off Auto-updates does nothing as Nintendo forces the file on you.

deactivate does nothing , my shit was set not to d/l any updates and the fucker did , only guarantee is to disable the internet
It's safe to assume that most households own a router - simply add Nintendo's update servers to the blacklist and your Nintendo platforms will *never* perform an online update again. Disc-based updates are a whole different story, but not all contain update partitions, so there'll only be a handful of games to avoid.

I received the 5.0 update after I played Mario Kart despite auto EVERYTHING being turned off. I shut off my Wii-U when it had the OK to begin update and blocked it in my router immediately. When I powered back on, it gives me a 'failed to download update' error every once in awhile but doesn't restrict me from doing anything locally.

I double checked my settings before I re-enabled internet and all the shit was turned off , auto d/l updates ect. something was telling me this shot would happen if I restarted internet ...I only did it so my boy could use youtube on the damn thing .....I should have made him use his ipad , on android tablet , but I wanted him to use the gamepad so I could see how long this new battery would last , ya know , put it through its paces
