Anyone who has played this game already probably knows what scene I'm talking about. After attempting to button mash during the anal probe scene, and continually failing, I was curious about something. Since the anal probe scene is banned in the Euro version would I be able to use my American version save with the euro version game and be able to pickup from my last checkpoint (where the main character is about to go to bed). Thanks.

Are you talking about the cutscene with Randy were you gotta press "A" or "X" (depending on the console) to break the probe machine? Thats not really hard to do, just press the button as fast a possible.

A lot easier said than done. And judging by some of the comments I've read from various sites it seems as though this is a task which has really turned off a lot of people towards the game.

I didn't mean to sound rude, I apologize for that. I can press a button fast probably due to all the minigames throughout the Mario Party games I played while growing up.

I just saw another thread talking about posting a save file, having someone beat the problem area, and then having the save file uploaded again. Is it possible I can upload the save file and someone can get past the anal probe scene for me? I'd REALLY appreciate it, as I was enjoying the game up until getting stuck at this point.

I initially got stuck at the button mashing sections myself, but I found a way to go through them rather efficiently. Lay your controller down on a flat surface or your lap instead of holding it and mash the button with your pointing and middle finger as you would in on an arcade machine - it's much easier this way than by doing it with your thumb and you'll get through the sections no problem.

I just tried that technique a good solid dozen times and couldn't finish the task. would it be possible that I upload the save file and for you to finish the task? otherwise i'm stuck on a game i really like.

when i want to quicly press a button
i use both thumbs on the button and use the thumbs one at a time, while grabbing it with both hands and do like train pistons... i dont know how to explain better.. but it works for old sport games..

i will try to explain better, my hands get "static" with both thumbs on the button then i just use my arms to do press with left thumb then right thumb then loop

do you happen to still have the game? i've been trying all these tips and none are effective for me. i'd love to be able to send someone the save file to complete this god awful scene.

To augment Foxi's method, learn how to tense your arm with the pointer finger straight out. You can then use that to rapidly press the button by using only the absolute minimum movement when lifting off the finger by essentially vibrating your arm. Practice the motion before utilizing it to get an idea of what you need to do. With a little practice, this can get some ridiculously quick button presses. If it means anything to you, back in the PS1 era, this was how I got my boost really high in games like FFVIII and Legend of Dragoon. My brother got good enough to hit boost caps on pretty much any game that had the option.

To note, especially if your arm isn't really what you might call "in shape", this will probably fatigue it and even leave it a bit sore.

Put your forefinger and thumb together and rub over two buttons with your nails. Or you can use a (round) lipstick. When I was young we used film canisters for games like track and field.

Hey, that's exactly how I button mash too!
Learned that method in Mario Party :P
Had no problems getting past button mashing parts by doing that.

Get (uncencored) PC version and use macros or get some old school 3rd party controller with FUCKING TURBO BUTTON! :D

This is also why QTE mostly suck as they are just in the way. Good example is Batman where opening some vents were OK with couple first games but got really annoying in third.

I've got a three year old laptop that's designed more for portability than power. So I doubt it has the specs needed for stick of truth. I wish THQ released a patch which made it easier to complete this task. I've seen A LOT of people complain about it being unfairly difficult.

When that EU cencoring thing got to the news many started to think about PC version as system requirements are ridiculously low! Dual Core processor and GPU with 512mb of RAM pretty much describes laptop I bought used 5 years ago and already sold it forward.
I also own one of these so it would be easy to turbo that part: http://www.dx.com/p/51556

You do know THQ has bankrupted over year ago? They made that THQ bundle and everything. Obsidian is one actually making the game and Ubisoft is new publisher.

But you are right that when QTE part makes you think about macros and turbos they should patch up the game.
