By the way, how do i trim these roms? It seems so complicated. i remember doing it before but that was long ago. im not used to using the command line

for me, the games that have freezed after trimming cci and removing update data are

Zelda OoT USA
Cave Story 3DS USA
Starfox 3DS USA
Rayman Origins USA

All the rest of my games are working with the "super trim"
i heard people have issues with some roms with the super trim. I believe its not worth the extra 30 mb of free space for update data.

Just hoping when Smash Bros is released it isnt a CARD3 (lol) game or has 7.x or higher keys. Pretty sure nintendo will use the latter or come up with something, since its like the most anticipated game for 3ds.

On another note, great job GW, sorry for doubting you, hopefully this release can be considered as a "im sorry gift" for the bricking hiasco.

EDIT: maybe a thread should be made, directed to the GW team, where all of us users that are consciously grateful and feeling different now that GW gave us this release, at least post once in it so that they can see that they still have faithful consumers and maybe GW will last a long long(er) time with these fpga updates.

My last 3ds clonecart was stolen, but w/e lets see if the clone carts can give their users their famous PORKMAN support now .

I am currently on b2 do I just replace the launcher to update to omega? Or do I have to re-do the whole process? Anyone
Simply replace the launcher.dat, since the GW Installer for the blue card is the same one as 2.0b2

SO much easier thanks!
By the way, it literally trims my rom in less than a second. is that how long it is supposed to take because it doesnt remove much space.

It sounds like the right amount of time. It will trim what it can. Depends on the rom. Some will have a huge difference. I personally use 3DSGuy's modified version of 3DSExplorer, found here: http://gbatemp.net/threads/3ds-rom-tool-rom_tool.349314/
I might try out voddy's tool later.

Well if you don't want to wait to long (as I am waiting on that title myself) there is a ds homebrew rom called Super Smash Bros Crash that you can find on the internets that is pretty fun to play on the go. Until then its the waiting game, and yes most likely flashcards will have to be pretty evolved by that time to play this game...or maybe by then we will have custom firmware.

I'm on 2.0b1, do I need to upgrade blue card or it's fine like on b2 ?

2.0b1 will be fine aswell. The GW Installer has been the same since 1.2

Im pretty sure the exploit is the same for all all versions of gateway releases
Actually, it's been the same since 1.2. That's when they implemented support for China and Taiwan region consoles. It was a different installer for 1.0 and 1.1a.

lol already tried it. nice homebrew attempt overall, but in the end, its still a "garbage fighting game" compared to the real deal.

Theres the other issue on how the online play netcode will come out, and if its gameplay is closer to melee than to brarfl.

But local multi player works (with GW) on other games doesnt it? Does anyone know?

Yeah, its more of a game to play when your bored. However a good fighting game like Code of Princess is pretty awesome to play. Its not your standard beat-em up but its still really good nonetheless, and that one is a 3ds game.

Yeah local multiplayer works. I haven't tested with 2.0 final but it's worked in the past for all other versions.
