Maybe its be useful for someone. Needed - dremel, soldering iron, tiny wires (lacquered), middle soldering skills, xiaomi mi note 2 connector, and imagination ofc.
Points vcc and detect will be shorted.
Maybe i mixed up d+ and d- point on photo - if you see "unknow device" just swap data wires - its simple.

I picked up a PSP Go with a damaged connector and thankfully came across a guide like this since there are no replacement ports available for the PSP Go. I successfully desoldered the stubborn Sony HDE port ordered the lacquered wire and Xiaomi Mi Note 2 USB C port. But i have an issue the USB C port is different to yours. Did i buy the wrong port.

Just i buy charging port without sub board. Unsolder yours and try install like in my photo. Only d+/d- maybe get you problems, use lakred wires (where it intersect, the varnish layer should be)

Where can i buy a port like yours? I can always cut the sub board but the USB C connector is different.

Finally got around to attempting to install this but it’s very difficult to solder to. So i’ve ordered pcb version of the USB Connector and took off the Mount of the other connector.

Update: cant get it to fit and soldering the other usb c in is next to impossible. Might end up using this motherboard with a broken connector for spares as there are no replacement connectors available.

Many thanks, i will try and let you know.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

i suddenly lost sound on my psp go, both speaker and headphone jack are silent. can anyone suggest something. I have also shot the [L] Fuse, but nothing happened.

This D+ & D- component is too small, that i was not able to solder, so can i remove this component.? and connect the circuit directly.?

Just wanted to say thanks for the guide. I successfully soldered the board others have been using but carved some space next to the card slot to maintain the original port too.
