I have no idea, ask davebaol or something

I kludged it together...

I have both drives plugged in and WiiFlow set to see port 0 and it sees/plays the GameCube games fine from USB.

I have USB Loader GX set to port 1 and it plays the Wii games fine from the other USB drive.

Would be nice to be able to play from both drives via WiiFlow but since I have it working it's no big deal if it's too hard.

What's weird is that I had it working on an older version of WiiFlow but I can't remember how far back and there are too many permutations to waste any more time on it.

From r882 added support for USB1 port and can even have 2 HD connected, it only works with D2X v9 beta, v10 d2x-beta53-alt-

I had GC games on 1 drive and Wii games on another drive working under WiiFlow with a previous rev but it's not working now. So I'm using WiiFlow for the GC games and USB Loader GX for the Wii games.

so, after working for quite a few hours now on wiiflow (3:41am as I write that heh) I just finished video playback behaving like banners for r1062:
http://fix94.no-ip.org/wf_revs/boot_r1062.7z
My log message in case you missed it:
-thp videos now behave very similar to banners using a new drawing system (not fully tested, may not work correctly)
-you can use thp videos for plugins, just use the same name system like covers (the whole game name with extension for both thp and ogg), if wiiflow finds such a video it'll play it in plugin flow by default

Unbelieveable, I can't wait to try it XD

That's quite the nice setup and something I myself might have to do in the future, I'm about to have about over 6 gigs worth of trailers and that's hampering down on the amount of space I have for GC games :(

Currently I don't have that setup or if not I would take steps to trouble shoot. Here are my recommendations if you find yourself with some time. First try out r1054 ( dunno which rev you're on, if you are currently using r1054 don't bother lol), it's a rev prior to the new mem manager. See if it works, if not the next step I can think of is to find out which stable version it worked with, going back no further than 4.1.3.

Taking into consideration around what time you had it working might also help figure out which beta rev you could have been using if it wasn't a stable rev. Anyways I'd love to help figure this one out. Hope u find a bit of time, let me know if you need any particular rev, I can compile whichever for u.

I know that it was working on r1054 but I can't replicate it and make it work again.

Considering Fix's last note that it should have never worked I'm not going to spend anymore time on it since I have a work-around for now.

It would be cool to be able to select in WiiFlow which USB port it's running the Wii games from based on the source so we could have a drive on port 0 with GameCube and all emulation games and another on port 1 with Wii games. But I don't think it's high up the development priority list since the appeal is so low.

Well it's true not everyone has as massive a collection as yours, I pride myself in being able to put a dent in your collection there but your still the main man lol. It would be a neat feature to have but most people won't have a setup where that would be required. Maybe you should have a chat with davebaol if he's still around or poke around IRC for more info, who knows maybe there will be some more development in d2x that would allow that to happen like with Hermes. Wishful thinking :)

I've overfilled a 4TB drive now and topped out with 2440 games. I'm missing a Learning French one which is about the only one I want that I haven't been able to 'find'. There is one on the UK eBay site I saw a while back but the shipping to the states was too high.

Since I can use WiiFlow to run with the GameCube drive on port 0 and USB Loader GX (when configured to read from port 1) can see/run the Wii games it is possible but WiiFlow (or any other USB loader) doesn't support running from 2 drives. I imagine setting it up to explicitly call for port 0 or 1 might be a PITA (for GC/Wii games). Probably more work that it's worth.

I'm hoping larger capacity drives will be out soon so I can put everything on one but then DIOS MIOS will need to be modified to support advanced formatting / 4K sectors.

Hopefully we will get there sometime.

1k/4K support for DM is definitely on my "Things we wish Crediar could have gotten to prior to his wii scene retirement" list lol. It's not really a list though other than that I wish the motivation was there to complete Nintendont. Being able to launch GC games through WiiFlow using Nintendont with high compatibility is one of the few things left I'd like to have happen in the scene.

and holy mother of... 2440 and overfilling a 4TB drive is a labor of love I'm sure lol. I didn't even know there were that many Wii games. Outrageous XD

There are actually quite a few more. I don't have all the PAL and Japanese games but they are getting increasingly hard to find.

And I'm not so sure it's love, I'm more of a crazy collector/hoarder :)

So if there is a 2nd hard disk plugged in the 10.1 cIOS will only see it and not allow you to switch to port 0?

Something that might be the case is if you are still starting WiiFlow running on IOS58 you won't have the same control over which USB port is being read. The option to be able to select which port to read from only works when you have WiiFlow set to load into the cIOS directly IIRC. Do you have that option set?

Thanks Fix for the update!
Can we have one thp per magic number (i.e. one for each plugin) which can be displayed when no game specific thp is found.
:)

Edit: even better would be an OPTIONAL missing banner support for plugins

ive not had chance to look myself yet. but i red that using a THP lets say for a rom/emulators. what if i wanted the same THP for each game in the sega mega drive section? is this possible. i only ask because you have to give the THP file the first 3 letters of the game I.D.?(which i want 1 THP file for multple games/roms)
and one more thing if the THP file acts simular to a banner would it read just a normall png file for a picture as well?
again great work guys :)

okay so i gave it a shot and cant get it too work :( how does the thp file find the correct game if i have (example: 5 games from different emulators starting with the same 3 letters?) also when i dump the lists it doesnt give any of the games a title I.D other then what i have named them
