So - now I've installed cfg. My goal is to get Gamecube games to boot up through USB using DIOS MIOS. The first time I tried this using Wiiflow it worked great, but only once. After the first time the game was copied over to my SD card and would no longer boot, even if I deleted the iso off of the SD and fenangled around with everything (no disc boot, changing USB HDD, etc.)

CFG seems to only offer a DM or DML option on certain versions - not including v70. Does anyone know the best version of CFG that will boot up most wii and gamecube games? I tried the latest beta, which says it supports DML and Gamecube games, but not only do I not see an option to set it to DM, after selecting a game it says "booting wii game, please wait..." and then fails to load.

I know some USB HDDs don't work well with DIOS MIOS, but I did successfully boot the game once through wiiflow, so I feel like that's not the issue.

*edit - tried a second time and it didn't give me the "booting wii game" message, but rather a fatal error apploader size is zero message through DIOS MIOS. I'm assuming the "booting wii game" message was CFG copying my iso to the SD card...

All right, go into your d2x app, make sure the IOS listed is 236 and that v8/v10 beta is listed in the d2x type. So go ahead and get to the screen where it lets you switch IOS's. Switch to IOS250 and install the IOS57 - 64 - 5918.wad file on it. Then go back to the homebrew channel, load your USBLoader Gx, and switch the IOS Just Dance '14 loads on to 250. :yay:
My d2x app? :( What is that?

You should have v71... You mean boot GameCube game. Wii games don't boot with DM...

Right - sorry, I got a little ahead of myself. I don't have any issues with my wii games booting. I meant a version that plays gamecube games via DM and DIOS MIOS well.

I didn't know there was a v71. 70r65 and 70r36 beta are the latest ones I can find both on google and through the app itself.

Oh hum; it is v70r51. That's what I had anyway. I'm told 51 and 65 can play GameCube games. But, I've only been able to get them to work through SD, not my hard drive. Not sure why; I think mine just has a bug or something.

Yeah - I know hidden partitions in particular affect the gamecube games loading because they're pretty particular about being the primary partition on the drive. I'm starting to wonder if that may be my problem and if the game actually booted off of the copied SD copy it made on Wiiflow.

I checked and CFG did indeed copy the game to my SD card. I don't understand why it does that. I'm considering just playing via burned disc instead.

:( Are you installing it on 249/250? And you need a wad folder on your card so you can store your files in there.
¿249/250? Where do I choose that? As soon as I open the IOS 236 Installer (v5 Mod), it starts itself to install and gives me the error. Where do I get the wads? Also, here is a syscheck, in case it helps

So, I forgot I have a new Wii, and cannot play disc backups. SD card it is. I didn't realize playing GC games on the wii was so difficult to get working these days.

Could you please instruct me on this part? :( Step by step, please :)

Okay. :) In d2x, select base 57 and install IOS 247 on it. And then, select base 56 and install 248 on it. So d2x will be installed on 247 and 248. And just to be on the safe side, install base 56 on 250. 249 is obsolete now and we run them on 248 instead. :) Then you should go into your loader and make sure the games are loading using 248. If Just Dance doesn't work, then you can switch that one to load 250 and see if that fixes it. (I went out for dinner; sorry for the delay)

One by one? I don't have a Wi-fi connection right now, but can I download them on my pc and transfer the wads? For example, for base 57 and slot 247, it asks for IOS57-64-v5918 and on ModMii there is the v5919. For base 56, it asks for v5661 and ModMii has v5662. Will that work? Also, it tells me that the (c)IOS will be overwritten. Is it correct that? And don't worry. I'm glad you are still helping me :)
