I wish someone would make a handy NAND Dumper/Writer kit to sell.....again I don't think interest is that high so I doubt it will happen. I would be really currious to hear how well Gateway is selling in the various teritorries. Right now I am guessing it is a niche product at best....I am just hoping that it sells well enough for them to stay in business and continue to update the product's features and game compatibility. I do think the dominos will fall once Pokemon comes out....then we will see what Gateway is working on and if they have a fix for newer games. To some degree I wish they would get cloned or even an atlernative compeditor would come about.....what we really need is more peolple working on the issues as Gateway is obviously a small team and only has so much resource......more teams working on 3DS hacking would help us get to things like homebrew, multi-rom, save game decryption, rom patching, a true CFW.....in theory it can all be done atleast on a 4.5 3DS its just a matter of time and man power at this point.

Like Pong said the codes have been floating a little while now

And it seems a little too coincidental, that the only other 3ds game so far to use the E loader is the 1x Nand based save Game there is

I'm quite confident, they'll find a solution to load these games, Gateway team is being quite silencious these days that can only means two things, they're very busy or they're stealthy abandonning their stuff...

I'm in the same boat. Pokemon is coming out in a few days.
As far as I know, getting a Mega Stone for a Mega Blaziken (Blaziken is my favorite) is only possible by connecting online for a bit during a short window around the release date and the Gateway doesn't have online support.

With this new NAND dumper shown I could do backup and hope a compatible NAND restorer is made, or just play Pokemon now and hope a new exploit is made.
I'm so confused...

From his imaginary friends, just like the photoshopped screenshots he likes to post. Pay him no attention, we'll know for sure soon enough.

I sincerely doubt it will be based on SLC-NAND because there's literally no reason why it should be, not to mention that this kind of memory is rare and difficult to come by. Pokemon will be produced in quantities far surpassing Nintendo's capacity to stock the chips.

sorry, i cant hear you over the amount of wrong you where

Where is the evidence of the presence of SLC-NAND again? All we know is that it doesn't boot - I want to see the PCB. That would be evidence, not conjuncture based on release numbers. Monster Hunter 4 does not boot either and it's not using SLC-NAND, so far you proved nothing. If it will turn out to be true, cool - good for you, I'm not 5 and I can admit when I'm wrong, but first prove your point.

if SD card isnt present when loaded the Save will be lost and you have to create a new game, same as animal crossing

feel free to test it when you finally get the game

(some of us have legit cartridges and dont just use a gateway)

Guy's I'm pretty sure the E in the product code, just signifies http://3dbrew.org/wiki/Anti_Savegame_Restore is used in the game. Not SLC-NAND. SLC-NAND is just a coincidence in the case of Animal Crossing, due to the requirements of the game.

Exactly 3dsguy, as anti savegame restore relies on sd card being present, thats why if its not, you start again and cant save... and looking at what the roms do, probably safe to say it uses it. the similarity being the anti-savegame restore, not the SLC-NAND, on another note does the rom information we can get let us know what sdk it was built on ?? like is this telling us what version of sdk was used

Well, I'm not sure exactly how anti savegame restore works, I haven't got a game which uses it (yet). But from what I've read on 3DBrew, it seems to be the case.

Yeah, you can tell what version of the SDK the game was built with in the notes.

FYI: The modified CXI format was introduced in SDK-5_0_0. Any game with [SDK+NINTENDO:CTR_SDK-5_0_0_200_none] or higher, will not run on gateway version 1.1a.
And games which have these notes will utilise anti save restore:
[SDK+NINTENDO:SaveDataSecureValue]
[SDK+NINTENDO:SaveDataSecureValueLoosely]
[SDK+NINTENDO:SaveDataSecureValueEx]
