Hacking Shin megami tensei IV doesnt show firmware

My current Fw is on 2.1.0-U I want to update it to 4.5 but when I open the game it tells me
I need to update it, but doesn't show what fw it will be updated to.
anyone else run into this?

It'll update you to 4.5.0-9U. That's what it updated me to.

Outside of hacking, firmware version is irrelevant, so I see no reason for Nintendo to tell you anything about it.

im still curious if the game got dumped yet, or even the other devil summoner game (im a filthy pirate i know) but its the one game im waiting for them to dump before i buy a gateway.

no it hasn't been dump and probably wont since there's no usa dumpers anymore.

kinda kills the gateway for the most part. aside from those 2 games there is only a couple games im only really interested in trying. I have bought the big ones i want, was waiting to see how this turned out..which seems like it just aint. Sucks..

I got the Gateway myself, but I would recommend getting a legit copy. It has DLC that continues the main story, which sounds awesome.

I'd even buy it myself and would send it to whoever can make a rom out of it, as the gateway finally removes region locking, but I still can't legally buy games from the US. Living in Europe means only stupid kid games for you son!

i was going to if the gateways couldn't in the next month or so (not many games im interested in for now) and im a huge fan or the series as it is, just hoped i could get it free along with a few other games.

The schematics for the hardware dumper should be leaked, or Gateway should work on a solution to allow users to dump their own roms. The current situation in the USA is not good for preservation. Games with limited run eventually disappear from store shelves and become hard to find.

Nobody knows the scene is a secret, sometimes new groups appear and old ones dissapear, digital souls hackers came out in europe a days ago and yet there's no dump of it too.

Venom has been around for a long time so I really doubt they are just gone in a poof......maybe just taking a break as their rom dumps for 3DS have been erratic. They will dump 5-10 all at once and then go away for a while again. Surely if they are out of action someone else will fill the void.....I get so tired of paranoid people in these froums making bogus claims about things.....someone always fills the void in the scene....always....why would it be any different now?
