Nomura on Marvel and LucasArt for KH3: "Of course it would be great"

Tetsuya Nomura, Producer and Director of Kingdom Hearts III & Final Fantasy XV, got interviewed while in the Japan Expo on France by Finaland and Final Fantasy Dream. One of the questions was about the Marvel & LucasArts Licenses in Kingdom Hearts 3. Here's the Quote:

Finaland & FFDream : With the acquisition of Marvel and Lucas Arts by Disney, could you imagine adding some kind of stuff from these licenses in the game ?

TN : (laughs) Of course it would be great if we could add those licenses as well. But there are lots of rules and restrictions by disney so we can’t actually put everything people want, so it’s a quite difficult decision but we’re gonna prepare some surprises for you so, just wait for the informations.

Finaland & FFDream : Because you know that Kitase-san (Yoshinori Kitase) is a big fan of Star Wars ! So you have to do that !

TN : (laughs) We’re not going to decide it whether Kitase-san likes Star Wars or not but we’ve been talking about Star Wars itself since it became Disney’s content recently. When I eared the news I was like “Wow ! Wow !”. Yeah obviously it’s gonna be great if we could add it, but like I said there are a lot of restrictions and rules by Disney so we don’t know what’s gonna happen but yeah, we’ll see.

Also in the same interview he revealed that his favorites created characters are not Cloud form FFVII but Sora and Noctis.

I think Marvel would be a bad move not really sure about Star Wars but honestly after this huge wait I'm pretty sure people are more interested in story more than characters seen as how most of the original fans are much older now.

Definitely not. Keep Disney Original franchises and Pixar. As a KH fan I can easily admit that putting in Marvel or Star Wars would make this series even more fucked up than it already is.

Marvel could if they handle it VERY well.
But star wars... It just feels way out of place, a very mature universe in a place like KH. Same could be said for Pirates and Tron though kinda..., so who knows.
I wonder if they can either get Star Wars/Marvel, he does say the answer to some things are "Hell no!" and others are "Maybe..."
I imagine Star wars being a "Hell no!" I'd think...

Just still awesome KH3 has been announced, still cant believe it.

Yeah, considering Pirates of the Caribbean got added in KH2 it wouldn't really surprise me to see Star Wars. I don't particularly care about whether it gets added or not, though.

I think people actually don't want more story. At this point, they know that it's all made up as they go along anyway. and we all know it will end with xehanorts plan being somewhat inherently flawed, cause you can't repeat history if all you have is a watered down version of a legend of a myth (I mean come on, 13 pieces of darkness and 7 pieces of light. obviously that means 20 people that have to... become one... doing something. yeah it'll work out, the legend is so clear, it cant possibly be anything else but this.). yet work well enough to almost plunge reality into neverending darkness. after everyone and their mother acquire a keyblade, sora will eventually either unite with, become, or be revealed to be the physical manifestation of the true kingdom hearts (yes he's Jesus...), disappear and purge all but the slightest trace of darkness from the multiverse

that being said, the only reason to play these games is seeing the different worlds. so I don't care what they add, as long as its new and there's a lot of it. also, I'd like to have more than 4 people alive per world this time around...

Please do not do that. You will kill the ending of this saga. Theoretically it makes no sense to incorporate those kind of worlds.
