Does this support closing the DS lid to suspend yet? Last time I tired it just powers off the ds when you reopen it. When I only get to play in short bursts, the lid close suspend is a very useful feature.
I believe you tried an ancient version, one where ARM7 CPU crashes were common when you opened the lid again. What version are you running? (See the game title field before launching the .nds)

It used to crash in sleep mode, but it's been working consistently for me... you say it actually turns your ds off? Strange. I'd also like to know what version you're using.

So what's the last sudokuhax compatible build ? If there is a link to that, I guess is better then nothing, sometimes when updating I overwrite previous files and older versions get lost....
I'm using now v0.3-100-g694d and it's working fine, but I was wandering if there is a more recent version still working on the DSi worth checking out ...
Cheers.

This one should work. I think at that point I fixed dsi mode for a single commit then broke it again.
Wow, that's way more complicated than what I thought it was doing. I thought it was just doing a blanket resizing to ~1.5x normal size, and applying a very basic bilinear filter to the entire screen. At least that's what I remember nutki saying at the time, years ago, though that may have just been an oversimplification to break it down into something we could understand. In actuality I have no idea how bilinear filtering is done so perhaps it's exactly as you described it.

At the end of one of my videos long ago, I demonstrated Lameboy v0.9 a bit, which was the first version to implement the filtered full-screen (previous versions had full-screen but it was just a sheer nearest-neighbor resize with no filtering) which attempts to show the difference between the filtered and unfiltered fullscreen options -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?featu...D5zdyYuc&list=UUs3pZIh0PoWSt2TOkNuUF5Q#t=411s

Now if nutki upgraded the filtering algorithm between v0.9 and the final version, I would have no idea. If he did, it may be worth looking back at v0.9 if it has a simpler method.

Well I don't know what any of this has to do with bilinear filters (because I don't know how they work) but I'm quite sure Lameboy is using ds hardware to blend 2 images of the screen in some way. And that it also somehow uses jittering - It's obvious when frameskip is high enough in Desmume. I jumped to my conclusion from there. I don't think he modified his filter between releases but I could check.

Yes, you're doing sort of bilinear interpolation... sort of because actually it's very approximate, because it's made by hardware and with its capability you don't get exactly the weighted averages you would have to apply.

Here is a video showing the odd behaviour. Ignore the audio, had to reset the router for my girlfriend lol

What is strange, is when making the video, the first time it didn't crash out at all - the first time it's worked for me! As for the version, I got it from the dropbox about 2 weeks ago - so possibly just broken in that non-stable build.

I grabbed the latest gameyob.nds from the dropbox 10 minutes ago, and this functionality seemed to be functioning fine at first - 5/10 minutes closed worked fine. Left it closed for almost an hour with the ROM supended - when I reopened, it power cycles like in the video.

Lol, first of all I was thinking that new GameBoy Advance emulator is made, but it's only GB/GBC. Nice trolling :(
Anyway I downloaded it and tested. Nice one, but I still prefer playing on Lameboy.

Hi,

just wondering if it is possible to use the rumble pak in DS/DS Lite for rumble supporting gb/gbc games.

afaik pokemon pinball and a few other games support rumble. i remember reading which registers are responsible for rumble etc. so it is documented to my knowledge.

not that it is a big deal, i just wondered if it is possible.

I'll try leaving mine suspended for a few hours, that's longer than I normally leave it. What flashcard are you using?
there hasn't been any activity lately, but at least most things are working fine for the time being.
I've been busy with school. Today I've been messing with autosaving but I'm still struggling. It's corrupting the save data in pokemon games.

This is supported already, in the beta builds. I'm long overdue for another release with all the new stuff that's been done since 0.3.

I am just curious, what is it that lameboy still has over this?

- Better SGB support
- Better sound (except for PCM sound, which is better in gameyob)
I think that's basically it. Compatibility is better than lameboy in most cases, it seems.

Where can i download the .NDS file? I have the .bmp and .ini, but i can't find the .nds? And I don't necessarily feel safe downloading the Gameyob.exe from Filetrip because why in the hell would it be .exe?

Can you scale the screen to be the full size of the upper DS screen? Am i just missing where thats in the options?

Yup... again, assuming you're using gameyob from the "latest build" link in this thread, there are options for scaling while preserving the aspect ratio, and for stretching to fill the entire screen.

It shouldn't be an exe... if you've somehow obtained a gameyob.exe don't run it. I don't know what it is. But I checked the filetrip link and it's a .nds file as it should be... also I don't know where you got the .bmp and .ini files from. All that's required to run gameyob is the nds file.

Somebody made them for the DSTWO plugin menu, they are necessary to make gameyob show up in the plugin menu.

I've finally got autosaving working. I needed to call a function from libfat which isn't supposed to be visible, this isn't exactly elegant, but it's the only way I could get it to work. I'm happy with the result. It's disabled by default. You can try it out with the latest build.

Yes this question was answered on this very page... either use the latest build link in the first post or wait for the next release.

Maybe I am not seeing it but where in the option does it let you change to full screen I am not seeing it any where? I am using the lastest 31846-gameyob.nds. or has full screen not been put in yet?
