Some of you may remember this thread about my father's passing.

My wife and I created this picture slideshow in honor of my father.

I expect the best from this community to not leave any hateful or hurtful comments on the video. I will delete any bad comments that I see and close comments completely if it gets out of hand. The comments should only be written by those who care to pay some respects. Please keep in mind, I have a lot of family that will be viewing this video and I'd like for them to be able to speak their mind and heart without me blocking comments on the video from people just wanting to troll.

Thank you.

I want to thank everyone who took their time to read this thread and my previous thread, and those who has contacted me with their condolences and concerns.

This is the most difficult moment of my life, and I want to thank you all for being the people that you are who are willing to listen and put yourself out openly in such is a tragic situation for myself and my family. I did not expect this community to do much more than troll me, but I have seen the greater kindness in all of you and it makes me feel better about our humanity.

I sincerely want to thank you all again. This means the world to me. This community has been good to me.

Here are my (failed??) attempts to try and cheer you up a little

03:19 | Every single horror movie when they film themselves running from "something inside of the house" (after the underwear-change)

04:19 | What really happened to Bambi's mother...

07:01 | 1) Crap, I'm stuck taking another damn family photo...
2) Why are we taking a photo right now??? There is a game on....
3) Are we done yet??? / When is this finally gonna be over???
4) Come on...my imaginary friend and I were in the middle of doing something.....

13:58 | The Don wants to see you about that money you owe him.

Also, I know that the 3 chocolate labs at 15:44 are real, but with how the light reflects on their fur, their fur looks like velvet. I recommend getting a life-size chocolate lab and pretend it is a real one in front of them (hug it, pet its fur, etc). They will become very jealous of the toy...and pissed. lol

I missed your original thread, and getting up to speed with this one. I watched the video from start to end. I am really sorry for your loss, and know how you're feeling right now.
My bestfriend's mother died a few years ago, and she felt almost like a mother to me. When she passed away, I didn't know what to do with myself, so all I did was cry and cry for a week or two. Seriously, just cry your heart out, it actually helps a lot.

My prayers (even if you are or aren't religious) are with you and your family. I wish you the best during this time of loss.

I have a very close uncle that died recently.
Something that really helped me at least, is remember all the good things that he had/made that made me happy, every time I was reminded about him. Try to put a smile in your face in times like this really help, and for me, makes him stays with me in the best way possible (cause I know that he would be relieved to see me happy when thinking about him, or continuing with my live, even though he is gone).

Sometimes, things can get tough and sad, but always try to turn your thinking to something positive and/or constructive, as my previous example ...it's not usually easy, but always force you to it (depressive postures never helped anyone right?)

Hope it helps you and your family to warm up and keep walking :)

We raised Chocolate Labs for quite some time when I was younger and my parents did a lot of field trials and dog shows with them. One of them is actually world famous. Plantier's Ruthless Ruthie. We sold MANY puppies from that dog, but did not over breed her. Ruthie, her daughter Heidi, and Brently have all since passed, but they were all wonderful dogs and a huge part of my upbringing.

Again, I want to thank you all. This community has been very good in my time of need, especially my great friends Xflak and JoostinOnline.

As for now, I am spending my time continuing to do the work that my father would have been doing as far as keeping his beautiful properties clean and kept up to proper shape. That is my therapy now.

Being that I worked for my dad for so many years, I understand most of his reasonings and OCD for how he would accomplish something and get done what needs to be done. I am fulfilling that as best as I can because I know that he would never allow things to come to being uncared for.

Maybe sometime in the near future, I will post up some pictures and you all will see the beauty that he created and worked hard for.

As was written in his obituary,
"He was created by the Earth,
Worked with the Earth,
And now he returns to the Earth."

My heartfelt apologies to you. One thing I will say, it's a wonderful thing to have a father figure in your life, and to honor him is a wonderful thing to do.
