Hacking New R4 i gold 3ds on a dsi xl ver 1.4.5

I got a new r4 card for my nintendo dsi xl and need help i wanted to use it straight away. in need of sum1's professional help. been havin trouble with my dsi xl i bought a few r4 cards for it and it wasnt the ryt 1 now ive jus received my new 1 its a r4i gold 3ds and i put it in my ds and it registers but it keeps coming up with menu? in red can any1 help me. my ds version is 1.4.5 ? it has registered it like i can see the game icon when i put it on but when i press it comes up with MENU? in red and then nothin please help me.

You need to put a MicroSD in the R4, and then put the right files on the R4. You get the files from the website printed on the front of the R4.

ive tryed it but i cant find the right version for my ds 1.4.5 dont i need to get the kernal that matches 1.4.5 ? if not please can any1 suggest a website and talk me threw it please very new to this Thanks alot

Kernel is not for DSi/3DS firmware updates, it's the firmware. You get it all from the site printed on the cart.

Yes you do need a kernel. The kernel is the software you use and run to launch games.

However the firmware is what you update every so often in order to make the flash cart compatible with new DSi/3DS updates.

The kernel doesn't make any difference with DSi/3DS version compatibility.

The firmware does. The firmware is totally responsible for it. If it's updated far enough it works. If not it won't.

The kernal ive finally downloaded and done now it says loading on a black screen and the retailers website wat does this mean ? its stuck on this screen now ? also so if the firmware is above 1.4.5 that will b ok but it wont work if its below 1.4.5 ?

If it's not giving you a DSi/3DS error message, than the firmware matches fine. It's just fine if the cart is updated more than the DSi/3DS.

Take a screenshot of what the files on your MicroSD look like.

Ive also got a new problem now my usb t-flash usb thing u put the memory card in is not being recognised in the usb slots of my computer or laptops so i need to buy a new t-flash usb and if i cnt find a t-flash usb can i use anythink thats a usb that takes memeory cards ?

The readers they come with are crap and die quickly. You can use any normal MicroSD reade for the PC as a replacement.

Take a screenshot of the files on the MicroSD, when it's in the computer (once you get a working reader), assuming a fixed reader doesn't fix the issue.

You card has nothing to do with r4i gold 3ds.
The website on the sticker of the card should be www.r4ids.cn if your card is r4i gold 3ds.
I just can not understand why you make a title such as r4i gold 3ds.

the computer and laptop recognises the usb reader wen i insert it into the laptop or computer but it wen says the device in un-readable ?

wen i put the reader in the comp or laptop it recognises it but then comes up with device un-readable ?

Try another MicroSD in the reader, if it says that as well then it's the reader. If it doesn't, then it's the MicroSD.
