Why my computer wont let me update, unstall, or install?

I don't ****ing get it! First, I can't delete the folder from Camtasia. Second, I can't unstall, update, and install for MSE (Mircosoft security essentials). And now third, Java. What the h*** ****ing going on with my computer? I didn't do anything wrong!

If you have Admin privileges and you cannot run installations, it's due to one of the two reasons:

1. You have a virus which prevents the Windows Installer service to start the process.
2. Your Windows Installer is crippled for whatever reason and does not work properly.

In the first case, you can run an Anti-Virus search with one of the Portable versions of AV's without having to install them. In the second, running sfc /scannow from the Command Prompt should initiate a System Repair routine and check for any issues within Windows and correct them if possible.

I use Avast. Ok.

Delete system32. Problem fixed.

Run a Full system scan, not just the quick one. Leave it overnight, it might take a while.

Don't want to poop on pyro's parade, but you probably wouldn't be able to do that, but provided you would, you'd practically make Windows unoperable. He was doing a funny.

Can you browse to that folder?
If you can get into the folder, can you find the file?

I did check on search. None of them found. So that mean I have to download or reinstall?

Don't search, actually try going into the folders.

why on the heck are you in that folder in the first place????
The second window behind your error message is asking you to locate that file so search your pc for that file and tell him the right path in that window or try download that file again and save it to your desktop or on your download folder and then run it from there.

use the java offline installer this one time, it will clear up that issue, try and install somthing else and see if it works.
