can any of the mods consider adding the Wii u to the top of the page where the home, forum, and downloads, part is? it would save me time having to click to forums and getting to the Wii U section that way, the Wii and DS are legacy consoles and should be replaced with Wii U and 3DS instead.

The problem with shoving away the NDS section is that its still waaay active, probably the most active of the consoles/handheld sections.
Add Wii U to the top, but keep NDS, Wii and PSP there.
They are still widely used.

Problem is people are already complaining about the bar being too wide. Adding WiiU is easy, but it's gonna make the bar even wider.

As Black-Ice said, these are still active sections. If you don't want to see them for some reason, you can hide them in your account settings...

The extra menu level might make it more obnoxious to use. I'm now curious what others think though.

Here's a few other ideas I came up with for making that top bar fit more stuff:

• Offer all consoles with some hidden by default, and make the way to choose what you see more obvious.
• Add an option to replace text with icons (the ones seen next to subforums in the forum list) so they take less space. (I've considered making a browser script to do this...)
• Reduce the spacing between the menus.
• Rename DS and Wii to (3)DS and Wii(U), and lump both consoles together under their respective menus
• Maybe rename the "Xbox 360" option to just "360"?

All the extra consoles you names are lumped together in the Other Consoles section. We're talking about the dropdown menus, not a forum reorganization.

Well, I was basically thinking of organizing everything into their respective "dropdown menus" It'll sure make life easier for oldcomers and newcomers!

That'd make the bar very cluttered...

A simple "Other" option might be useful (that just points to the "Other Consoles" section), but listing all of them in a menu up there would be messy to say the least.

Cool, I was too lazy to do that, so I just copied a random one, didn't bother with the dropdown

Was a pain really, but I was bored with nothing to do. Did know, or want to learn how to assign the nodes to another tabs. So I ended up renaming 3DS to Wii U, edited the dropbox to all Wii U sections, and then I had to rename the other boxes while adding on another box for the column I renamed...

I really need to find something to do.
