Gaming StreetPass Quest - Forest of Sorrow problem

So I'm at the Forest of Sorrow Exit room and I'm stuck with this Reaper cadet with the poison gas. I finally Googled it after weeks of getting some allies, but it still doesn't work. I just wasted some coins to form a tag team of yellow Miis, used Combo Magic but they still got hindered by the curse?!? Google tells me that even a level 1 team can neutralise the room but it didn't happen to me!

HALP!

its just unlucky

lvl 1 are best for curses
Yellow team to cure poison

if either of the yellows get hindered its just luck

So it's not really guaranteed? I'm only around 100 coins and I hope I don't get THAT unlucky. Thanks anyway...

yea ive had some really bad luck on some rooms
dont forget if you want to lift the curse use a "dispelling draft potion" at the cost of 2 coins but it will also mean you loose the Mii that casts it
so make sure you really have an army of yellows
