Homebrew gbaemu4ds: GBA emulator for DS(i) (DSi Entry)

Is the graphic better if you use the sc Version and the upper screen on a 3DS

  • I can't do that (have no 3DS) (have not tested that)

I don't understand how people say that it can't be done...
Some things say's otherwise.
3ds emulate gba games you bought in the store.
NDS/NDS light can run gba games in the 2nd slot.
Why would it be impossible ?
Yeah, see, neither of the examples you listed are actually GBA emulation on the DS. I answered you in that other thread.

we are trying to emulate (or hypervise in this case) gba games without the use of slot 2. Slot 2 and the arm7 cant be used to emulate natively because the hardware is in a completely different state when in ds mode. we are trying to emulate gba games played on a slot 1 card. not slot 2. However since the gba and ds use arm processors, ichfly made a hypervisor which translates the gba code into a ds compatable format and then executes it. nobody said it could be done because no one ever though about hypervising a gba. only emulating.

Thanks a good explanation :P

The pokemon ruby german debug rom works! you need to use the advance irq version with savetype 128k flash and 60/1 fps!
Yup. Confirmed working with an unpatched rom.

Using this let me point out a few bugs:

-Massive world map corruption (graphics) (Use the Teleport option to see this)
-Crashes after you press A at the ENDE of the credits (Not sure about other regions)

there is only one region for the ruby debug rom. (german). its great that the debug version works now . do you think there may be an english ruby debug rom out there somewhere?

No, but the fact that other regions of the retail release may have these issues.

aww i found out the german debug version ONLY boots with 128k flash save type. but the problem is that it wont save (even clicking save save on the ab lr menu) as it says the internal battery has run dry and then it says save file has been deleted.... or sometimes it does save but then goes to this weird screen saying the backup memory is damaged and then reboots with still no save file. could you please fix that ichfly. Oh could you fix firered a bit more? it appears to not boot after apply ips patches to it (it boots with the shiny gold patch but then freezes however any other boot to a white screen. only the unpatched rom works)

Hey ichichfly, not trying to pressure you into getting it done faster but how close do you think you are to releasing the next update? I have a few more games to test and add to the compatibility list but if you are close to releasing the next update I will wait so that I can test with the latest revision.

Anyway, hopefully you will respond. :yay:

Okay, bug reporting time.
On the homebrew Super Mario: The Last GBA Quest, everything looks normal until you start a level, upon which the game is playable, but the screen is filled with garbage data, making playing the game a bit frustrating.
Tested with:
HyperSpeedup (Every variation has the same result)
V.40
Works perfectly with HWSpeedup

Another bug:
Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga will not start with HyperSpeedup v40.
