I get the Rom fatal error message randomly as well, don't know if there's a fix. Try Desmume is all I can suggest.

Hey, sorry I've been away for so long, got those exams out of the way and then caught a bout of compulsive laziness. I haven't replied for a bit too long to answer every single question, but if there's something you desperately need to know then feel free to ask again. Most of the crash bugs I can't help fix though; if it doesn't happen to everyone then it's probably not my fault. HG/SS are just very unstable roms.

Okay, so from what I've read the glitches we have are:
- mantyke not evolving
- vespiquen doesn't have intimidate
- full heal in underground basement next to rocket grunt
- wrong locations for super rod in route 40

In addition to whatever we had previously.

For the next version that isn't just bugfixes we're looking at:
- 99 of each TM?
- Possible "toughening up" of some of the gym leaders, although I would prefer to avoid changing the team rosters if possible.
- The presence of some more documents.

I should probably actually reply now, so yeah. I doubt there's gonna be an update too soon though, and the moment B2W2 comes out I'll be dropping everything to play it pretty much =p

edit: Oh and I recall someone saying Feebas apparently tries to evolve at every level or something

edit2: Somehow PPRE ended up making Mantyke evolve when VOLTORB is in the party as opposed to Remoraid. I have no idea how the hell that happened but it'll work for now, I guess?

I have been trying to patch this on my mac and it just won't work. I've tried MultiPatch and another thing that won't work, has anyone been able to successfully patch it on a mac? Any help would be appreciated!

Steven won't acknowledge that I captured Latios, thus preventing me from triggering the event to capture Latias. He just keeps challenging me to battles in his home in Pewter City. Is there a fix for this?

Yeah, the Pokémon games are easy enough to play in Japanese (even if I don't understand a word).

darkrose: Have you talked to Steven with Latios actually out behind you? Although, I'm pretty sure he shouldn't be challenging you to a fight until after you've caught Regigigas. Hmm... have you done that?

Just another small thing I found. In Victory Road the first item that you can pick up is a Potion. Just a regular old Potion. Seems sorta useless when you're that high leveled by that point in the game. Perhaps it was supposed to be something else?

Iirc, that potion was there in the original HG/SS. Maybe it was just an overlooked item that Dray didn't notice.

Maybe there wasn't anything to change it to... nah. Giving the player a free Full Restore there could help.

Also, will there be a bugfix patch out Friday before the BW2 release?

I've just beaten Whitney, and it was tough, because all my Pokémon are males, and Attract was very annoying. Leafeon with Rock Smash, and Croconaw, making Stantler, her last Pokémon, flinch 5 times in a row with Bite, won me the battle.

I think found a mistake, a spelling mistake. In the house of the man that gives you Cut in the forest, before you beat Team Rocket, if you talk to the boy, he uses a capital letter where he shouldn't, he said something like SoMewhere, I don't remember exactly the word.

Another minor thing is that in the National Park, the trainer that had a Snubbull, and in your game has a Granbull, speaks about how cute her Snubbull is, yet she does not have Snubbull.

And there is something else, but this is a suggestion. Can you increase Chatot's catch rate? It's 30, and at the beginning of the game, in Sprout Tower, it's almost impossible to catch with Poké Balls.

It's not that. It is not the word Mew, it's the word somewhere, or another word with some at the beginning, I don't remember. Instead of somewhere, it's written soMewhere.

Hey Dray, I joined because of this hack. It's the most fun I've had playing Pokemon in a long time (if not a little frustrating at times with the ridiculously high levels). I'm wondering if I found a bug. I didn't trigger the regis event with Cynthia prior to going all the way through Kanto up to beating the Elite 4 a second time. Now that I'm trying to get her to open up the regis, she'll only offer to take me to Sinjoh or battle me. I have the Lock Capsule and the Red Chain and I've already gotten the Sinnoh starters from her. I'm playing version 1.4 if that makes any difference.

The word being "somewhere" makes sense, but shouldn't Dray have searched for MEW in allcaps instead of mew in any capitalization? Call this a variant of the Scunthorpe problem.
