Fantastic! Fingers Crossed that it works, as it should.

Edit: does the application have to be in the same directory as above or can I put it anywhere on the micro sd (even the root)?

My extlink edition already has that feature.

If you don't like extlink and you have R4, you can use /__rpg/associations.ini instead.
[sps]
launcher=fat0:/moonshl2/extlink/sps.NitroMusicPlayer.nds
show=1

by extlink you mean working from moonshell? o_o Thank you avenir, really.

Yup. now I'm really sad that Wood src isn't open anymore. I need Wood homebrew version...
Last month I updated WAIO to 1.25d but it doesn't have association support...

Sorry for going off-topic

Well... I think Wood has been the best thing to happen, since sliced bread especailly as the R4 was becoming a bit dated with an out of date kernel and a constant lack of AP updates for the latest games.

Wood was GPL'd but then people who ported it didn't release the source so the author stopped releasing the source to stop them.

There's still the issue of getting the source for the previous versions that were GPL'd, but the author's pretty pissy about the issue.
After he who must not be named quit updating WAIO after 1.15, Gaboros released WoodM3. But actually it was supported by him...
Yes, we always released unofficial Wood ports' source code under GPL. Now we cannot continue updating them, so pitiful bah...

Is there going to be support for other NDS audio/video formats?
sseq is supported by this player.
strm isn't supported yet but it can be converted to mp3 by several music players easily.
mobiclip videos aren't analyzed yet.

Avenir, i'm having problems to set up NDSMusicPlayer (from your sourceforge page) to work. How do you build a proper SPS for this one ?
I get "reading frontend (sps)... failed".

Caithsith & Kazowar version works just fine by reading SPS built with SPSMaker (or a app called like that bundled with the same NDSMusicPlayer).

What flash card are you using? As the principle should be the same.

sps files need to be in "./data/NDS Music Player/" (if you have Wood, associate them with the kernel) and you need to have the same roms on your flash card (as far as I know), otherwise it won't work.

Also, music from games like Kirby Mass Attack and Diddy Kong Racing won't play, as they need additional RAM.

I'm on DSTT using RGF updates. And, as you can see in the previous post, I can run SPS with ease with kazowar's build. SPS are on data/NDS Music Player, and dumps are in root/nds/.

Avenir's version is not working for some reason, maybe he uses a different SPS builder or treat them differently?

    A surge protector is a device that protects your electronics from fluctuations. I recommend having your console plugged into one of those

    An UPS is even better because it has an internal battery that keeps your system on even if the power goes out, but it's much more expensive obviously

    On the series s/x you can use a external HD but any next gen games must be on your internal ssd, or you can buy a ssd expansion card, but pricey. Any xbone, 360, or og Xbox games can be played from external tho.
