DI:
-Added a feature to rebuild the FST, this allows you to replace any file
even if the new file is larger. This feature has two modes, temporary and
permanent. In temporary mode the FST is rebuild in RAM and only valid for one
run of the game, resetting in-game will use the default FST again. In permanent
mode the FST is rebuild and the new version is written to the USBDevice (no
backup is created!).
Both modes deactivate themselves after the FST has been rebuilt.
Rebuilding the FST takes quite some time ~4mins or so, so be patient
Status is printed via usbgecko.

does anybody knows what to do with this new feature?

Just my interpretation so take it with a grain of salt (I'm no crediar :D ), but I think it should allow u to modify games and insert custom tracks\levels\cheats or other content without worrying about new file sizes being greater than the old file sizes.

Yeah pretty much.

All the riivolution patches pirates have long complained about not being able to play simply are now made much easier via this. basically all the file replacement Riivolution patches will work by just actually replacing the files and then using the rebuild FST option.

When I see this, I think of doing the same process of applying a patch on a wii game (permanently) like you'd do on a computer, now on wii =), through a removable USB media rather than just RAM. (if SD card gets corrupted... crap, and the other way around... if the FST built gets corrupted and you didn't have a backup... crap too)

Creating new images with more and larger files is not new. My tools can do this since April 2010.

Yeah, but that's too much of a hassle for most pirates.

What about Riivolution exclusive asm hacks? Can they be bypassed with this?
