Interesting note.

Quote from him:
Alas I am going to shelve it for a little while(referring to "The Tower") as I am going to work on another project that I am super excited about. I can't talk about it too much but if all goes well it might just be one of my crowning achievements as an artist...

plus Gray Ginther?

Looks like something interesting is going on; I'm really looking forward to what these guys are making.
Will it be for Wii, WiiU or 3DS? Sound like something completely original to me; let's hope for the best!

When I first read "Crowning Achievement" and Retro Studios in the topic title, I immediately thought of a new Perfect Dark game (seeing as I've been playing the port all day on the Xbox and Crowning Achievement is the name of one of the achievements).

Then I remembered that the important Rare employees formed Free Radical (Crytek) and not Retro Studios. But in those 10 seconds or so it took me to realise, I was so excited to possibly see a resurrection of the Perfect Dark IP.

Anyway, enough about PD.

One game I would LOVE to see is Eternal Darkness on the WiiU, Imagine how great that could be if pulled off correctly. I'm sure that Retro have the expertise to bring one of the most underrated gamecube games to life on the WiiU. If they announce Eternal Darkness, I'm there buying the console on launch date!

I think that I am certain of what they gonna make for us.

The newest Zelda for the 3DS!

Hoe do I know this and how can I be so certain. In an interview with Miyamoto or Iwata I am not sure which one it was. He mentioned that Retro studios would be perfect for making a Zelda game.

Source: somewhere on this site or Nintendolife. I don't have time to search in the news.

Edit: Yes I am REALLY certain of this statement.

Interesting. A new IP would be nice, because Nintendo still depends on the usual series like Mario, Zelda etc
They could appeal to a new or bigger audience. Or even the hardcore audience :O
You could see it as an expansion of the Nintendo universe, with more exlcusives

More DKCR please.
Or a more "mature" themed game like that.
Hell, anything. I bet it will be great seeing it's Retro Studios and this staff.

I certainly think it would be

The Legend of Zelda Prime Edition 3D

Oh wait that's Tekken XD

I have no ideas at the moment what it could be. But RetroStudios prove themselves with Mario Kart 7 to be capable of making a 3D game. http://www.mariowiki.com/Mario_Kart_7 check the developers in the right side box.

it won't/can't be a perfect dark title. if I recall, when microsoft purchase RARE, they also purchased the rights to the perfect dark and banjo kazooie franchises (and everything that RARE did that wasn't already owned by nintendo)
