Hello,
I haven't updated my modded Switch since a year or so. The last Atmosphere version I installed on it was 1.7.1 and the firmware version is 18.1.0.
I was updating the Switch using AIO Updater + getting the sigpatches from
https://gbatemp.net/threads/sigpatches-for-atmosphere-hekate-fss0-fusee-package3.571543/
While coming back to the forum in order to update to firmware 20.5.0 and Atmosphere 1.9.5, I saw that changes took place and now Atmosphere no longer supports sigpatches in the old way and some people even have issues booting the console? Does that mean that if I update Atmosphere, hekate, the firmware and the sigpatches as usual, the console is not going to work?
The initial modding of the console was done by someone else and later on I learned how to update it myself, but now with things being changed, I don't wanna risk busting anything.
So my questions are:
- If I update as usual, will the console not boot up or it will boot up, but only games won't work because sig patches are not supported anymore?
- How am I supposed to do the update in case the old method with AIO isn't good anymore? I'd rather continue using AIO if nothing breaks and console will still boot up
- How to get sigpatches or well, generally games up and running again?
Long story short, just looking for the safest method to update from the version that I have now. As I have mentioned, I'm not really a modding expert, I just learned how to update at a certain point and wouldn't wanna risk busting my console
Thank you!
