I had an issue with an update so I am trying to redo the hack of my unpatched switch that I haven't touched in a couple years. The website I used rentry.org no longer exists and it was a pretty good resource, I was recommended it by Binkinator a couple years ago. Any decent sites with current and easy instructions to use?

Hello everyone.
I have two set of joycon and after the latest official and Atmosphere firmware update, both of my right Joy‑Con stopped working correctly. They only work when attached vertically — both physically on the console rail and when paired together via Bluetooth. When I try to use them horizontally (pressing SR+SL) they don't work, and the LED doesn't light. I believe this may be a software issue. Can anyone help?
Left joycon (both) work properly.
thank you for the link ,A couple steps were unclear, however I was able to get back to where I was before whatever I did to make myself start over. I do have an issue with Daybreak installation this time around. It is asking me to "select an update directory" I don't remember that before. The directory list I have on the switch is: JKSV, Nintendo, System Volume Information, atmosphere, bootloader, config, emuMMC, and switch. I had removed the daybreak.nro from switch folder and put it back in hoping it would be as it was. Really bummed the site I used got shut down as I was able to follow the steps and be ready to update cfw when needed.

hello, I just modded my unpatched switch using emunand by following the nh guide, everything seems to work except actually installing games, do I need to update my sigpatches/use syspatch or am I better off just using the latest hats pack given that they're already included? I'm already running latest firmware, atmo and hekate

You can use HATS if you know what you are doing, if you don't know how Atmosphere/Hekate, patches work, it is better to do it manually and learn what they do.
I got past my issue with Daybreak, total brainfart on that one. Anyways, I am using tinwoo to install a game and I get almost immediately the Failed to install error message. Partially installed contents can be removed from the System Settings applet. InstallTicketCert:281: Failed to import ticket. Error code: 0x00000291. I had went through this twice. I have cfw 20.1.1/atm 1.9.2. Is it a Tinwoo issue or something else, I am sure it is an easy fix, but guidance would be appreciated. I have a feeling it has to do with sigpatches
remove the «0100152000022000» folder from the SDMC:/atmosphere/contents folder. try again, if everything works, your mods are incompatible with FW 20, upgrade them.
by the way, do you have SYS-Patch sysmodule installed?
Hi impeeza, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, the method didn’t work. Both of the right controllers I own still don’t work when I try to set them to horizontal grip. Do you have any other suggestions I could try? Thanks again.

Thank you for your reply as well! The fact is that I have two sets of Joy-Con, and both right ones have shown the same problem after the last update, meaning they don't work in horizontal mode and the side LED doesn't turn on either. It's strange that two Joy-Con have had the same malfunction at the same time, which is why I thought there might be a software issue.

While coming back to the forum in order to update to firmware 20.5.0 and Atmosphere 1.9.5, I saw that changes took place and now Atmosphere no longer supports sigpatches in the old way and some people even have issues booting the console? Does that mean that if I update Atmosphere, hekate, the firmware and the sigpatches as usual, the console is not going to work?
The initial modding of the console was done by someone else and later on I learned how to update it myself, but now with things being changed, I don't wanna risk busting anything.
So my questions are:
- If I update as usual, will the console not boot up or it will boot up, but only games won't work because sig patches are not supported anymore?
- How am I supposed to do the update in case the old method with AIO isn't good anymore? I'd rather continue using AIO if nothing breaks and console will still boot up
- How to get sigpatches or well, generally games up and running again?
Long story short, just looking for the safest method to update from the version that I have now. As I have mentioned, I'm not really a modding expert, I just learned how to update at a certain point and wouldn't wanna risk busting my console

HI, if you go to settings -> Controllers and sensors -> change grip order
and wake up the Joycon by pressing SL & SR buttons at the same time did you get this image:
or
or only this
Also if you go to Settings _> Controller and sensors -> Test Input Devices -> Test Controller buttons can you press all buttons and see the SR & SL?
Finally, be sure you do not have any custom mapping on the settings -> Controllers and Sensors -> Change Button Mapping
if you have one you will see a wrench on the joycon icon and the map on the right.:
If you can see the buttons on the test device screen should be a hardware problem, I really can tell you how many ribbon cables has rip on the past, I am thinking the ninjas come and cut the ribbon cable each time you open your joycon.
Good moring, please remember this site is an English only forum, is on the Terms & Rules this is aimed to anybody can undertand all post.
Also you can D.M. on spanish not problem at all.
SYS-Patch is a sysmodule which run at console startup and applies the patches for you without need to update files on each new FW nor Atmosphère version. try it, the latest version is on https://gbatemp.net/download/sys-patch-sysmodule.39124/
New issue here, I think I have all the cfw installed correctly. cfw is atm 1.9.5 and 20.5.0 firmware on switch and applied the sigpatch located on this site. I added a game using Tinwoo (as I am used to it) and was playing the game today and received Error Code: 2002-4153, and after looking up what that meant, I then checked to see if there was an issue with the game itself and got Error Code:2016-0601. I had been away from gaming as life has changed a bit the last couple of years. Anyways I see sys-patch is apparently preferred over sig-patch, and honestly I am still quite a noob, and not sure which I may need to use, as well as package3 instead of using fusee. Anyways, I am used to using fusee.bin. and will deal with the newer ways to access the modded switch later. Anyways, is it a sigpatch issue that is causing these errors?
