My modded Switch Lite got banned today.
I don't have any pirated content on it; it was only used for modding offline games through LayeredFS [i.e., no "installation" of unsigned software], using cheats for offline games, and dumping/editing saves.
I do not have NSO, and I only connect to Nintendo servers to download updates for my games.
I was using custom DNS [207.246.121.77 and 163.172.141.219] for when I needed to go online with CFW, though my PRODINFO was not blanked.
I do remember accidentally deleting a ticket for an eShop title around 9 months ago, which I think is the likely cause [though I am not 100% sure] despite it not matching banwaves which are 4-6 months apart from my understanding.
I have other modded Switches which means it's not a huge loss, but I'd like to prevent this in the future [without a self-ban], so I have a few questions:
1. Does anyone have an idea as to what else could've caused this?
2. Does Nintendo issue console bans for modding offline, single-player games?
3. Could PRODINFO blanking have prevented this, somehow?
4. I've heard people getting banned for sigpatches/syspatches running in the background, which I have. Is this really a thing, though?
