Hello, I was thinking is it technically possible to run a homebrew file manager like nx-shell with a mig switch so that the V2 switch could be softmoddable? I'm just asking so pls don't insult me
The most you can expect from it is a perfect emulation of a game cartridge.

Is it ok to boot in to ofw and connect to online services with cfw files on the sd card ?
Been doing that for years. If Nintendo scans your SD card and breaches your privacy, that responsibility falls on them.

Hey, so I'm trying to rip models using Switch Toolbox and I keep having issues, the current one being that whenever I load a model into it, the textures/materials load darker than they should, the export darker than they should, and they have this weird transparency issue going on that also carries over into exporting. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix?

just to be clear, I tried asking on the official discord and no one has gotten back to me, also I apologize if this is the wrong place for this sort of question

hi guys since i've beaten both shin megami tensei 5 and it's updated version too (vengeance) , what should i dump in order to use them on the migswitch ?

and if i want to dump the nsp version of my two games without installing them , how should i do it ?

In any case you'll need to dump the physical cartridges in order to play those games with MIG Switch. Make sure that you have full dumps and not incomplete or mixed dumps (certs taken from another game). Otherwise you risk getting banned.

Dumping and converting them back to XCI won't make them work on MIG Switch as they won't get past signatures checks.

MIG Switch and alike aren't really useful for piracy as they are somewhat limited, allowing you to play full or mixed dumps only. Updates you can get either from the cartridges themselves (If they are included) or by matching the game version locally with another console that has the same game on a higher version. DLCs you can get only if they are on the cartridge. If you've used your MIG Switch correctly so far, dumped your cartridges and you still have access to the eShop, you can probably buy DLCs and install them from the eShop as well.

In any other case, there's (very) high chance that you'll get your console banned.

Stupid question, isn't there a button combination on the Switch to close and open the game without close the game like the Nintendo 3DS had? Sometimes it's a pain to go to the Switch menu, close the game, and open it again. Button combinations at least save time.

I don't believe there is one.

Which one was for the 3DS?

It seems that it also depends on the game, there are some games that do not have the command on Nintendo 3DS either.

Fire Emblem Awakening, Fire Emblem Fates, Pokemon X, Pokkemon Y, Pokemon Sun, Pokemon Moon, Pokemon Ultra Sun, Pokemon Ultramoon, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds was L+R+Start+Select. But the Nintendo 3DS port of Luigi Mansion 1 doesn't have the command for example.

PDS:There are some people who say that pressing select is not necessary.
